76ers Look To Continue Dominance Over Knicks
The New York Knicks (2-1) host the Philadelphia 76ers (2-1) at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday as the Knicks look to pick up their third home win of the season. Both teams come into the game at 2-1 ATS.
Sportsbook Odds Analysis
The visiting 76ers come in as 1.5-point favorites, going 4-5-1 ATS in their last 10 against the Knicks. The total is set at 216 points with the UNDER going 6-4 in the last 10 meetings. Philadelphia is 10-0 in its last 10 contests against New York.
Philadelphia News & Notes
The overarching story of the season for the 76ers has, unfortunately, been the saga surrounding point guard Ben Simmons, who claims that he is not mentally fit to play. Despite the distraction, Philadelphia has had a fine start to the season, fresh off a 115-103 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday. Seth Curry led the way with 28 points while Joel Embiid dropped 22 points to go with six assists and nine boards.
Embiid, who leads the team with 21 points per game this season, is questionable to play due to knee soreness. Andre Drummond is also questionable for Tuesday.
New York News & Notes
The Knicks are fresh off a home-and-home against the Orlando Magic, splitting the series at one game apiece after a 110-104 loss on Sunday. Julius Randle was a one-man show, dropping 30 points and hauling down 16 rebounds, while Derrick Rose impressed as well with 23 points in just 29 minutes on the floor.
Randle has led the team in multiple categories through the first three games, averaging 28.7 points, 11.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists. Newly acquired Evan Fournier has been a welcome addition, averaging 19.3 points after he dropped a career-high 32 in his Knicks debut on October 20.

Why Philadelphia Will Cover
With a perfect 10-0 record in their last 10 meetings with the Knicks, the 76ers probably feel at home at Madison Square Garden. Curry has been shooting the lights out and Embiid, if healthy, will tilt the game on his own. The 76ers have given up just 104.6 points per game this season too, so it won’t be an easy night for the Knicks.
Why New York Will Cover
Randle has been hot to start the season and he’s got a new running mate in Fournier. While Philadelphia’s defense is tight, New York has averaged 121 points per game, good for third in the NBA. If the Knicks can tighten up a bit at their end of the court, they’ll be in good shape.
