Toronto Raptors vs. Miami Heat
Team | Spread | Money | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Toronto Raptors | +4 (-110) | +152 | O 180 (-110) |
Miami Heat | -4 (-110) | -188 | U 180 (-110) |
Expert Pick: Miami Heat ATS -4
Even with Jaime Jaquez Jr. shut down for the remainder of the competition, the Miami Heat are still in tremendous shape coming off a convincing 92-79 victory over the Dallas Mavericks without his services, improving to a perfect 3-0.
Rookie Kel'el Ware has been one of the standouts of the summer, and the Toronto Raptors' lack of interior size should be exploited here leading to another stellar line from the 17th overall selection.
Toronto will continue to be without Gradey Dick, as well, so despite its guard play from the likes of Javon Freeman-Liberty and Jamal Shead being strong, Miami will still manage to cover owning the best overall point differential at 15.6.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Chicago Bulls
Team | Spread | Money | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Atlanta Hawks | +1.5 (-106) | +108 | O 174.5 (-114) |
Chicago Bulls | -1.5 (-114) | -132 | U 174.5 (-106) |
Expert Pick: Chicago Bulls ML
The Atlanta Hawks are still searching for their first win out in Sin City at 0-3. They've been incredibly reliant on first overall draft pick Zaccharie Risacher, and were incredibly turnover prone without him in a narrow loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday.
The spread is slim enough to want to lean towards Atlanta at plus money, but there's not much left for this team to achieve outside of giving some seldom-used names more minutes.
The Chicago Bulls, meanwhile, have gotten a great deal out of lottery pick Matas Buzelis, and despite their offense freezing up as of late averaging 80.5 points across their last two defeats, there's still enough there with Buzelis at the forefront to like their chances against the feeble Hawks.
Dallas Mavericks vs. Boston Celtics
Team | Spread | Money | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Dallas Mavericks | +5.5 (-110) | +198 | O 178.5 (-114) |
Boston Celtics | -5.5 (-110) | -250 | U 178.5 (-106) |
Expert Pick: UNDER 178.5 Total Points
The Boston Celtics rank fifth overall in points at 97 per game, but much of that can be attributed to a 114-point outburst in their opener versus the Miami Heat, as Boston hasn't broken the 90-point mark since.
Those last two performances also fell short of exceeding 178.5 points, as well, so toppling that number will prove to be difficult here against the winless Mavericks who are only averaging 85.3 points and barely shooting better than 40 percent from the field.
