Durant Who? Thunder are on Cruise Control So Far
The Oklahoma City Thunder have been doing just fine in the absence of Kevin Durant, and they’ll look to improve on their 6-1 SU record against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.
Sportsbooks opened the Thunder as 3.5-point favorites with an OVER/UNDER of 202.
The two highest scorers in the league, DeMar DeRozan and Russell Westbrook, will face off for the first time in 2016-17. DeRozan set a franchise record for consecutive 30-point games with five to begin the season. Toronto is kicking off a stretch that will see them play eight of their next 10 games away from Canada, so the stellar play of DeRozan is going to be pivotal to the Raps’ success.
Oklahoma City’s only loss came against the Golden State Warriors last week, and the team bounced back by locking down on defense in wins over Miami and Minnesota. Victor Oladipo, who was acquired in the Serge Ibaka trade with Orlando in the offseason, is 19-for-31 from the field in the last three games, including 6-for-10 from 3-point range.
The Raps have had a huge edge in this series lately. Toronto has covered the spread in five of its last six tilts with the Thunder.
