Jazz vs Lakers Prediction & Odds: Utah Favored To End Road Woes In LA
Utah (36-21 SU, 26-30-1 ATS) carries a six-game winning streak into Los Angeles, but each of those victories came at home. The Jazz look to snap a five-game road skid when they visit the Lakers (26-31, 25-32), who upset Utah last month.

Jazz Rolling Again With Mitchell, Gobert Back In The Lineup
Utah has regained its footing after an ugly 4-12 SU stretch, finishing off a perfect 6-0 homestand with a 135-101 rout of the Rockets on Monday night. Each of Utah’s last three victories and four of its last five came by at least 15 points as the Jazz covered each of those contests.
Getting their injured stars has helped key the turnaround. Donovan Mitchell has been on fire since returning from a concussion, scoring 30 points on 9-for-15 shooting Monday against Houston, and Rudy Gobert returned from a calf injury to score 14 points against the Rockets before being ejected with a pair of technicals.
Utah’s next challenge is turning around its fortunes on the road. The Jazz have lost five straight as the visitors and are just 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine on the highway, including last month’s loss to the Lakers at Crypto.com Arena.
Lakers Feeling Positive Despite Letting Late Lead Slip Away At Golden State
Even though they’ve lost three straight and seven of nine, the Lakers might finally be seeing light at the end of the tunnel. Los Angeles came close to upsetting the Warriors on Saturday in San Francisco, holding a six-point lead in the fourth quarter before fading down the stretch in a 117-115 loss.
“That was as connected as we’ve been in a long while,” LeBron James told the LA Times, noting that some players might have felt more comfortable now that the trade deadline has passed.
Russell Westbrook seemed to be one of them, scoring 19 points on just 13 shots, while Talen Horton-Tucker added 17 off the bench.
Jazz vs Lakers Pick & Insights
Jazz: Keys To Cover
Most of Utah’s recent road issues came with Mitchell, Gobert and other regulars out of the lineup. Now that the Jazz have their stars and their confidence back, they should be a much tougher team as the visitors — something to consider when making your Jazz vs Lakers prediction.
Lakers: Keys To Cover
LA’s strength under Frank Vogel has historically been at the defensive end, and the Lakers will need to be at their best defensively to slow down Utah’s top-rated attack. They also need to finish better than they did in Saturday’s loss to Golden State, when they managed just one field goal in the final three minutes.
