Jazz Look To Stay On High Note vs 76ers
The Utah Jazz (17-7 SU, 13-11 ATS) visit the Philadelphia 76ers (14-11, 12-13) at Wells Fargo Center on Thursday as small road favorites. The Jazz will look to win their sixth straight game while the 76ers are on a three-game win streak of their own.
Sportsbook Odds Analysis
The Jazz opened as 2.5-point favorites on the moneyline with the total set at 217.5 points. The OVER is 5-0 in Utah’s last five games. The 76ers are 0-5 ATS in their last five home contests while the Jazz are 1-4 ATS in their last five visits to Philadelphia.
Utah News & Notes
The Jazz cruised to a 136-104 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday as they claimed their fifth consecutive victory. Donovan Mitchell dropped 36 points to lead all scorers while Bojan Bogdanovic added 21 of his own.
Mitchell has been red-hot of late, scoring 30 or more points in four straight contests. The shooting guard is Utah’s top scorer this season at 24.2 points, leading the Jazz to the second-best offense in the NBA (114 points per game).
On the injury front, Hassan Whiteside (gluteus) is questionable for Thursday while Udoka Azubuike (ankle) has been ruled out.

Philadelphia News & Notes
The 76ers seem to finally be picking up steam as they earned a third straight win on Tuesday – a 110-106 victory over the Charlotte Hornets. Joel Embiid led the way with 32 points and eight rebounds while Seth Curry (23 points) and Tobias Harris (18 points) also played big roles in the win.
Since returning from COVID-19 on November 27, Embiid has been a machine for Philadelphia. The center is averaging 29 points over his last six games – well above his season average of 23.9. Unsurprisingly, the 76ers are 4-2 since his return and seem to be trending in the right direction.
How Utah Will Cover
The Jazz have quietly been one of the NBA’s strongest teams this season, going 8-2 over their last 10 games. Their offense has been electric, especially over their current five-game win streak, averaging 127.6 points per game. If Mitchell and company are going to keep up this level of play, Thursday’s game won’t be close.
How Philadelphia Will Cover
The 76ers have been rejuvenated since the return of Embiid in late November and have finally found their rhythm. While the Jazz have been deadly on offense, the 76ers have given up just 102 points per game over their last five contests. If Philadelphia can stand strong on defense, they could cover the spread and potentially even upset Utah.
