Jonas Valanciunas #17 of the Toronto Raptors puts up a shot in front of Marcin Gortat #13 of the Washington Wizards in the first half during Game Three of Round One of the 2018 NBA Playoffs at Capital One Arena on April 20, 2018 in Washington, DC.

Which Raptors Team Will Show Up in Game 5?

The Toronto Raptors were sitting pretty after Sportsbook their first-round series with the Washington Wizards with two straight wins in Canada, but after dropping two on the road, the Raps head back home with the series knotted at two games apiece. The Wizards are 1-9 ATS in their past 10 games away from home.

Sportsbook opened the Raptors as 7-point home favorites with a total of 216.

SHARK BITES
  • The Wizards are 0-8 SU in their last eight games as an underdog of 7.0 or more.
  • The Raptors are 12-5 SU in their last 17 games in the playoffs at home.
  • The Wizards are 0-3 SU and ATS in their last three games on the road against the Raptors.

Toronto won a franchise-record 59 games during the regular season to earn the top seed in the Eastern Conference, but the Raptors simply didn’t resemble that team in Games 3 and 4. DeMar DeRozan scored a game-high 35 points in Game 4 but was just 10-for-29 from the floor, while DeRozan and Kyle Lowry (7-for-15) combined for more than half of Toronto’s shot attempts in the setback.

The Dinos are clearly missing top reserve Fred VanVleet, as the point guard was limited to a total of three minutes in the first four games but participated in practice on Tuesday. As of this writing, the Wichita State product was listed as day to day.

The Wizards allowed an average of 122 points in the first two games of the series but limited that number to 100.5 in the next two. All-star shooting guard Bradley Beal fouled out of Game 4 with less than five minutes left but John Wall carried the load down the stretch and finished with 27 points and 14 assists in the win. Beal averaged 29.5 points in D.C. after averaging only 14 at Toronto in Games 1 and 2.

The Wizards are going OVER with ease on the road, as the OVER is 5-1 in Washington’s past six road games with an average combined score of 221.
