Though the regular season is just starting, odds for the WNBA playoffs are already on the radar. It’s no surprise the Las Vegas Aces, hoisting back-to-back championships, are most likely to clinch the postseason with +100 odds.
But, I expect this WNBA to look very different. A sold-out preseason game is the tip of the iceberg for what’s to come. Plenty of veteran fans and new ones are buzzing about the league after a stacked draft class, featuring Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, make their professional debuts.

WNBA Odds To Make Playoffs Best Bets & Picks
We've got the odds, now here's what I'm doing with them.
Las Vegas Aces — YES (-10000)
I don’t need to dive too much into this, the odds speak for themselves. The Aces have made the playoffs for five straight seasons, winning the last two championships. Their team is healthy and intact from both those championship groups, with the exception of Candace Parker retiring this offseason. However, the core of their success stays.
New York Liberty — YES (-3300)
The Aces' real true threat is the Liberty, who beat Las Vegas in three of five of their regular season meetings last year. New York is a team decorated with skill, including last season’s MVP Breanna Stewart and three-point stud Sabrina Ionescu.
Phoenix Mercury — NO (+225)
I’ve seen quite a few hopeful takes on the Mercury this season. Brittney Griner should be more comfortable this year after the traumatic experience and media frenzy of her imprisonment are no longer at the focal point. Plus, three-time WNBA champion and first to reach 10,000 points in the league, Diana Taurasi returns for her 20th season.

But, with 16 PPG across her 26 appearances last season, Taurasi recorded some of her worst career stats. At 41 years old, the oldest player in the league, all legends must slow down. Remember, this is a group that had just nine wins last season. This is a competitive league and I don’t think Phoenix reaches that standard yet.
Indiana Fever — YES (-300)
If scripts are real, the league is writing in Caitlin Clark for the playoffs. First of all, she boosted Indiana's win total to 21.5, she's already selling out stadiums for preseason, think about the profit she'd rake in for the postseason.
Silliness aside, the Fever will be a solid group this year. Clark, alongside Aliyah Boston and the seasoned veterans, should be able to squeak into a berth somewhere.
