Rolling Record: 4-1 (+2.24 UNITS)
sky vs wings preview & pick
The Game: Chicago Sky vs Dallas Wings, 8 PM ET
Team | Spread | Total | Moneyline |
---|---|---|---|
Chicago Sky | +6.0 (-110) | O 168.5 (-110) | +210 |
Dallas Wings | -6.0 (-110) | U 168.5 (-110) | -258 |
My Take: These two played in their season-opener with the Sky blowing a first quarter lead to fall, 87-79. Chicago's five starters all hit the double-digit point mark. Meanwhile Dallas' big three earned 15-points or more with Arike Ogunbowale leading the a game-high 25-points.
The Wings' defense was the difference maker last game, recording 12 blocks compared to the Sky's three. Give me Ogunbowale to out-perform Chicago and lead Dallas to a 2-0 start.
Pick: Wings -6.0 (-110)
dream vs mercury preview & pick
The Game: Atlanta Dream vs Phoenix Mercury, 10 PM ET
Team | Spread | Total | Moneyline |
---|---|---|---|
Atlanta Dream | +1.0 (-110) | O 170 (-110) | -102 |
Phoenix Mercury | -1.0 (-110) | U 170 (-110) | -118 |
My Take: The Mercury are building a new reputation, going from the league's worst team last season to keeping up with the Aces to lose 89-80 in their season opener.
Phoenix needs to work on shooting from the perimeter, going 6-for-29 (20.7%) in its first game of the season. At 41 years old, Diana Taurasi shut the ageist whisperers up, recording an elite 23 points and going 7-for-11 beyond the arc.

At home, I think Phoenix can take this one after impressing us WNBA viewer in its first game of the season.
Pick: Mercury +1.0 (-110)
