Cardinals vs Pirates Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Pirates Moneyline

Who in their right mind bets against Paul Skenes? The Pirates starter hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in a start in his career, letting up one or fewer runs in seven of his 11 outings. The Pirates are 8-3 in Skenes's outings so far, good for +3.13 units of profit if you bet on Pittsburgh every start.

When the Pirates score more than one run, they're 7-1 with Skenes on the mound.

Skenes has already faced this Cardinals team, too, and pitched 6.1 shutout innings with eight strikeouts and one walk in a Pittsburgh win.

Cardinals vs Pirates Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Under 7.5 Runs

So, we already know Skenes isn't letting up more than a few runs to the Cardinals. But, I think Lance Lynn should have a pretty good day for St. Louis, too.

Aside from a random 10-run blowup against the Nats in early July, Lynn has allowed over two earned runs in just three of his last nine starts. The run total has gone under 7.5 in half of Lynn's last six starts.

The Pirates and Cardinals' offenses both kinda stink, too. Both teams are tied for 23rd in runs scored so far this season, averaging just 4.16 runs per game.

Both teams are hitting the UNDER more than most, too, with the Cards going UNDER at a 51.6% clip and the Pirates at 53.1%.

Cardinals vs Pirates Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Oneil Cruz Hit

Hits might not be that easy to come by tonight, but Oneil Cruz is one guy I expect to get on the board. The Pirates infielder has at least one hit in seven of his last 10 games, rattling off 12 total knocks in that stretch. Since July 6th, Cruz has raised his average from .244 to .252.

He's also been one of baseball's hottest hitters since the All-Star break, snagging six hits in 16 at-bats for a .375 average.

Cruz also balls out against the Cardinals, in general. The infielder hits .293 against St. Louis with an .821 OPS in 15 career games against the Cards.
