MLB Player Prop Picks World Series Game 5: Keep Fading Judge

MLB player prop picks hit harder in the World Series, and with Game 5 ready to unfold, I'm stoked to dive into the props market. The Yankees and Dodgers have played some sharp baseball in October, and with their high profiles, plenty of betting action will unfold.

Here are my two MLB player prop picks for Game 5 of the World Series:

MLB Player Prop Pick Game 1: Gerrit Cole UNDER 16.5 Total Outs (+105)

Yankees vs Dodgers - October 30 - Game Time: 8:08 pm ET

This total feels too high. Yeah, he threw six solid innings in Game 1, but even that didn’t cash the OVER on total outs. What would it take? The Dodgers lineup would have stall out to a point they haven’t reached in this series, and that’s a long shot.

Cole’s pitched over 16 outs just once this postseason — in Game 4 of the ALDS against the Royals, a much weaker offense than L.A.’s. Plus, Boone mentioned before Game 4 that Cole wouldn’t pitch on short rest or from the bullpen due to early-season workload concerns. Maybe he’s reconsidering after Game 4’s win, but I’d still bet on fewer than six innings for Cole here.

MLB Player Prop Pick Game 1: Aaron Judge UNDER 1.5 Total Bases (-145)

Yankees vs Dodgers - October 30 - Game Time: 8:08 pm ET

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, and Judge’s swing is definitely broken. If you've faded Judge, you’re already up this postseason. He’s just 7-for-40 (.162) with 46 strikeouts, chasing bad pitches and struggling on strikes in the zone.

Jack Flaherty can be volatile, but he’ll mix things up to throw Judge off, especially with that breaking ball. Judge’s recent numbers say it all: he’s hit UNDER 1.5 total bases in six consecutive games. Sure, Judge picked up a base hit last time, but nothing suggests he's ready to explode for a flurry of extra-base hits.
