We've narrowly missed on a number of same-game parlays lately, as the NBA Finals have been anything but predictable. Dallas avoided a sweep with a dominant 122-84 victory on Friday night. However, with the series heading back to Boston, the Celtics are heavy favorites to win 18th NBA Championship tonight.
Let's dive into all the odds and our Mavericks vs. Celtics Game 5 same-game parlays below.

Nick Holz's Same-Game Parlay
Bet | Odds |
---|---|
Kyrie Irving UNDER 8.5 Rebounds + Assists | -132 |
Jayson Tatum To Record A Double Double | -130 |
PJ Washington 3+ Made Threes | +250 |
Overall | +726 |
Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Kyrie Irving UNDER 8.5 Rebounds + Assists (-132)
Kyrie has surpassed this line just once this series. At the end of the day, Dallas desperately needs him to score. A pass to a wide open Maxi Kleber is far less valuable than an Irving shot at this point in the series.
Kyrie needs to be selfish for the Mavericks to have any hope of extending the NBA playoffs. Bet his UNDER 8.5 rebounds + assists prop as the first leg of our same-game parlay.
Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Jayson Tatum To Record A Double Double (-130)
Tatum has recorded a double double in three of his past five games, and has crashed the boards with reckless abandon throughout this series.
He's averaged a heady 7.8 rebounds a night this series, and that's with limited minutes in Game 4. I like Tatum to take control of this basketball game, with his shooting touch and newfound playmaking skills. As the lead dog in the Celtics stable, he'll want the ball when it matters most tonight. Ride with Tatum to record a double double.
Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: PJ Washington 3+ Made Threes (+250)
While he's looked off all series, PJ Washington has quietly knocked down 5-of-9 three-point attempts over the past two games. He played just 14 minutes in Friday's Game 4 blowout, and thus should have many more opportunities to shoot tonight.
He's taken 14 threes over the last three contests, and has knocked down 35% from deep in this series. I like the odds on PJ Washington to shoot the lights out tonight. Add Washington 3+ made threes as the final leg of our Mavericks vs. Celtics Game 5 same-game parlay.

Christopher Walder's Same-Game Parlay
Bet | Odds |
---|---|
Luka Doncic OVER 40.5 PTS + AST | -111 |
Derrick Jones Jr. OVER 5.5 Points | -115 |
Jrue Holiday 2+ Made 3-Pointers | -160 |
Overall | +380 |
Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Luka Doncic OVER 40.5 PTS + AST (-111)
This leg comes out of sheer necessity for the Mavericks, who likely won't win on the road unless Luka Doncic comes close to these numbers. It wasn't needed in Game 4, mind you, but time will tell whether that was an anomaly or not.
Doncic hasn't gone three or more games in a row falling UNDER 40.5 combined points and assists since the second round against the Oklahoma City Thunder, so on sheer trends and patterns alone, the superstar ball-handler will connect tonight. He did hit the OVER in Game 2 in Boston, so we've seen him register high-quality box scores on the road already.
Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Derrick Jones Jr. OVER 5.5 Points (-115)
It's not the sexiest leg to gamble on for a player averaging just 5.8 points versus Boston this series, but it's the one we need to go a perfect three for three.
Derrick Jones Jr. has only exceeded this prop once through four games, but that was Game 2 at the TD Garden when he notched 11 points on seven shot attempts. Now that's one fewer point than what he recorded in the other three games combined, and since Jones Jr. is good for at least a pair of 3-point attempts per game, draining one would get him within striking distance anyway.
Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Jrue Holiday 2+ Made 3-Pointers (-160)
Of his 18 postseason appearances thus far, Jrue Holiday has converted at least two triples on 11 different occasions, including three times against Dallas. His efficiency from deep is a scorching 43.8 percent, second on the roster for players averaging at least 10 minutes of action.
Holiday also shoots nearly two percentage points better from 3-point range at home than he does on the road, which further explains the lackluster odds at -160, which will still ultimately aid this same-game parlay.
