Randle Scores 31 As Knicks Beat Timberwolves

The Knicks picked up a victory in their last outing, defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 120-107 on Monday. New York trailed off toward the end of the game, getting outscored by 10 in the final frame, but it didn’t matter after the Knicks built a 76-52 lead going into the half. Julius Randle scored a season-high 31 points while Jalen Brunson (23 points) and RJ Barrett (22) both had 20-plus.

After a middling start to his campaign, Randle has exploded for an average of 30 points per game over his last two contests. The power forward leads the Knicks with 20.1 points per contest, just ahead of Brunson (19.7) and Barrett (19.6). New York has benefited from a capable attacking trio as the Knicks rank 10th in the NBA in scoring through 10 contests (115 points per game).

Nets Lose Close Game To Mavericks

The Nets had a two-game win streak snapped Monday as they fell to the Dallas Mavericks 96-94. Brooklyn trailed by as much as 11 with under four minutes to play and fought back to get it close but couldn’t pull off the comeback. Kevin Durant (26 points) was the only player on the Nets to score over 20 while Luka Doncic had another master class for the Mavs with 36.

Kyrie Irving, who has missed the last three games for the Nets, continues to be one of the main storylines in Brooklyn but for all the wrong reasons. The star point guard was suspended by the club for at least five games as of last week for an anti-Semitic social media post. The Nets have managed without Irving so far, though, going 2-1 in the three contests without him.

Knicks Player Prop: Randle OVER 23 Points (+117)

You’ve got to ride the hot hand if you’re betting on the Knicks and right now that’s Randle. He’s scored at least 23 points in four of his 10 outings this season and has topped the mark easily in each of his last two contests.

Nets Player Prop: Durant OVER 34 Points (+112)

The oddsmakers are expecting a big night from Durant as he’s getting +112 to hit the OVER on 34 points. With Irving out, you can expect Durant to get plenty of touches and plenty of time on the floor. The Nets star hasn’t scored 34-plus since a 36-point outing against the Pacers on October 31, but he’s more than capable of hitting the mark.

Knicks: Keys To Win

The Knicks may not have a star like Durant but they do possess more offensive depth than the Nets with three legitimate scoring threats in Randle, Brunson and Barrett. If all three can do their jobs on Wednesday, New York should come out on top.

Nets: Keys To Win

A lot of the pressure will fall on the shoulders of Durant on any given night but that’s even more true with Irving still out. The power forward has been excellent through his first 11 games of the season, averaging 31 points per game – up from 29.9 last season. Durant will likely need to score 30-plus again to help his Nets top the Knicks.
