The final day of 2024 NBA Cup group stage action goes down on Tuesday night, and with so much at stake for a number of teams looking to clinch their spot in the knockout round, the player props market should be booming with a slew of names seeking to lead their teams with noteworthy performances.
Here are three player prop wagers to consider for the slate on December 3, including a scoring bet taking the OVER (-113) on Giannis Antetokounmpo's point total (31.5) against the Detroit Pistons with the top spot in East Group B on the line at Little Caesars Arena.
Giannis Antetokounmpo OVER 31.5 Points vs. Pistons (-113)
Preview: Milwaukee Bucks vs. Detroit Pistons, 7 p.m. ET
The Milwaukee Bucks are locked atop East Group B with an identical 3-0 record SU to that of the Pistons, so Tuesday's victor will take it all while the loser could still move forward, albeit with a little bit of help. Whichever team falls may still do so as long as it notches a stronger point differential than the Boston Celtics and the Orlando Magic or New York Knicks.
That means the Bucks couldn't lose by more than six points to Detroit. With all of that being said, an Antetokounmpo scoring prop becomes all the more enticing as Milwaukee not only looks to extend its winning streak to seven games but also keep its Cup hopes alive.
Antetokounmpo has scored 32 or more points to reach an OVER on this prop in four straight games, averaging 38 points while shooting 63 percent from the field during that stretch. The Pistons allow 114.6 points to the opposition at home (20th), and lest we forget that The Greek Freak finished with a season-high 59 points versus Detroit back on November 13.
Scottie Barnes OVER 16.5 Rebounds + Assists vs. Pacers (-104)
Preview: Indiana Pacers vs. Toronto Raptors, 7:30 p.m. ET
The Toronto Raptors are an even 3-3 SU since Scottie Barnes returned to the lineup following his orbital bone injury, with his individual production providing a wealth of opportunity and profit across a number of different props.
Barnes is averaging 21.7 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 7.7 assists during this run, and has hit the OVER on 16.5 combined boards and dimes in each of the last four games, resulting in three double-doubles and the sixth triple-double of his career (second-most in franchise history).
He was inactive the last time Toronto played the Indiana Pacers on November 18, but the Pacers rank in the bottom-third of the league in opponent's rebounds (44.9, 20th) and assists (26.7, 16th) allowed on the road, and that should lead to another memorable box score for Barnes.
Jaylen Wells OVER 3.5 Rebounds vs. Mavericks (+108)
Preview: Memphis Grizzlies vs. Dallas Mavericks, 8:30 p.m. ET
It's not a huge number that rookie Jaylen Wells has to hit on the glass, and the +108 betting odds make it worth the gamble. The Memphis Grizzlies guard needs to procure at least four boards at the American Airlines Center against the Dallas Mavericks, who are currently tied for 18th in opponent rebounds allowed in home games at 44.4.
Wells has grabbed four or more rebounds in four of his last five games, and while his minutes are starting to dip ever so slightly with some of his teammates returning from injury, he remains an integral part of the Grizzlies' offense and should continue to see ample playing time to reach OVERs on props such as this.
