Golden State Warriors vs. Denver Nuggets Expert Picks
Denver Nuggets ATS -5.5 (-112)
The Warriors have already punched their ticket to the knockout stage of the in-season tournament, clinching West Group C with a perfect 3-0 start which can't be toppled. Denver requires a lot to go right on Tuesday to advance, needing to defeat Golden State while also finishing ahead of both the Dallas Mavericks and Memphis Grizzlies in their group, along with owning the tiebreaker over whoever finishes second in West Groups A and B.
In order for that final criteria to hit, the Nuggets would need to defeat the Warriors by at least 16 points in regulation at Ball Arena. It's a lot to ask, but it's certainly possible. Golden State is at its most vulnerable, and now Draymond Green is listed as doubtful for Tuesday with calf tightness.
Denver has been the betting favorite at home for all but one occasion this season yet is only 3-5-1 ATS overall without a successful cover in its last three attempts. Working in its favor, though, is that it won seven in a row SU versus the Warriors and 10 of its last 11, while Golden State hasn't covered on the road in four straight attempts.
Considering the Nuggets need this win should they have aspirations of taking the Cup, and the Warriors' only incentive here is to end their own losing skid SU, the logical play would be to take Denver by at least 5.5 points since the margin of victory matters a great deal in the grand scheme of things.
OVER 238 Total Points (-112)
Four of the last five meetings between the Warriors and Nuggets have gone UNDER in this market, but Denver has hit the OVER at home in seven straight games.
With Golden State having Stephen Curry back in the lineup, as well, let's ride an OVER hitting here even with it being less profitable than the UNDER.
Golden State Warriors vs. Denver Nuggets Player Prop
Michael Porter Jr OVER 23.5 Points + Rebounds (-106)
This player prop combination has been extremely kind to bettors of Michael Porter Jr. as of late, with the 26-year-old forward having hit the OVER on 23.5 points and rebounds in four-straight games and 12 of his last 15.
The Warriors give up the fourth-most rebounds to the opposition overall at 46.5 per game, which further helps Porter Jr's cause as he's registered three double-doubles in points and rebounds in his last six appearances.
