It’s been quite the turnaround for the Florida Gators, whose coach is off the hot seat and whose season has a chance to conclude with a bowl appearance. But that resurgence faces a serious challenge Saturday in Ole Miss, which opened as a 10-point favorite in the Swamp.
Kansas has covered in four straight games, Colorado in an amazing eight straight. But something has to give when the Jayhawks and Buffaloes meet Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, where Coach Prime and company are slight 2.5-point road favorites.
It all adds up to a huge Big 12 showdown, given that Kansas has upset league contenders Iowa State and BYU its last two times out, giving Colorado a sudden path to the conference championship game—and perhaps, the College Football Playoff. The grand setting is the home of the Kansas City Chiefs, where the game is being played due to ongoing renovations on Kansas’ stadium in Lawrence.

Colorado vs Kansas Picks Week 13
The Buffaloes have become one of the biggest stories in college football, and not just due to the presence of Deion Sanders on the sideline. Colorado has won four straight games by double-digits, receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter is the commanding odds favorite to win the Heisman Trophy, and the Buffs’ 80 percent cover rate is tied for third-best nationally. Colorado has also won four straight on the road, and winning out against Kansas and Oklahoma State would put the Buffs in the Big 12 title game.
They have that opportunity partly thanks to Kansas, which has knocked off league leaders in two straight games—including at previously unbeaten BYU last week, where the Jayhawks won 17-13 as a 2.5-point underdog. This team is much better than its 4-6 overall record—Kansas suffered five straight losses in games which it held fourth-quarter leads, finally righting the ship to win three of its last four.
Almost all of the Jayhawks’ games have been close—they’ve suffered losses by five, three, five, four and two points, in addition to their two-point victory in Provo. They’re 2-1 so far this season at Arrowhead Stadium, where they also beat Iowa State as a 2-point home underdog. Against Colorado, they’ll try to run the ball behind read-option quarterback Jalon Daniels, control time of possession, and keep the Buffaloes’ high-powered offense off the field.
Colorado vs Kansas Week 13 Pick: Kansas +2.5
The Jayhawks and Buffaloes have each gone OVER the total in five of their last seven games. This total of 59.5 is the highest Kansas has faced against an FBS opponent this season, but the Jayhawks showed in their 45-point outburst against Iowa State that they can put points on the board. We’ll stick with the trends and go with the OVER again this week.
Colorado vs Kansas Week 13 Pick: OVER 59.5
Colorado vs Kansas Prop Pick: Devin Neal Anytime TD
No question, much of the focus Saturday will be on Colorado stars Hunter and Shedeur Sanders. But keep an eye out for Kansas running back Devin Neal, who’s become one of the Big 12’s more reliable scorers. Neal has found the end zone in seven consecutive games for the Jayhawks, scoring two touchdowns each against Iowa State and BYU. The senior is a cornerstone of a Kansas rushing attack which will be a point of emphasis against the Buffaloes.
Colorado vs Kansas News
The Buffaloes are a little beat up, with receiver Jimmy Horn Jr., nickelback Preston Hodge and defensive tackle Shane Cokes all sitting out due to injuries last week against Utah, according to USA Today. Kansas saw offensive lineman Logan Brown leave the field against BYU with an injury, while receiver Lawerence Arnold had to be helped off with an apparent concussion after catching a pass against the Cougars, Athlon reported. The status of all those players for Saturday should be clarified later in the week.
