The UFC 305 co-main event is a highly anticipated slugfest between Steve Erceg (-170 favorite) and Kai Kara-France (+140), and the Erceg vs Kara-France odds are ripe for some winning bets.
This flyweight contender fight will be fun, fast, and the perfect set-up for the main event on August 17 between Israel Adesanya and Dricus Du Plessis.

UFC 305 Predictions: How Erceg Wins
Erceg is a very well-rounded fighter. He might not have the iron hands KKF has, but he's quick, fires good combos, and can wrestle. In this fight, he'll lean heavily on the excellent counterstiking he showed in his title fight vs Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 301.
Kara-France is also very rusty, with his last win coming in 2022. Erceg, of course, just fought for the title, losing a close decision that came down to the final round.
In this three-round format, I'll happily take Erceg to win by decision, counting on damage to carry him to victory.
UFC 305 Predictions: How Kara-France Wins
KKF has been in some wild UFC flyweight bouts (his battle with Brandon Royval comes to mind) and he has proven he can stick around in all kinds of challenging scenarios. Erceg is a traditional boxer and grappler, but Kara-France carries much more wallop in his punches. That said, I'm not sure either guy has the juice to end this fight with one shot, so I'll be betting this bout to go the distance.
"Don't Blink" must repel Erceg's grappling attacks at UFC 305, and then charge forward to put his opponent on his heels. We saw Pantoja's forward pressure discombobulate Erceg's striking at UFC 301.
In the end, betting KKF ML is enough, especially at his current +180 odds.
Erceg vs Kara-France Best Bet
I'll be taking Erceg to win by decision. It's too hard to tell how KKF responds after not fighting in 14 months, and he'll enter the cage against a guy who fought for the belt just a few months ago.
