Sky vs wings preview & pick
The Game: Chicago Sky vs Dallas Wings, 8 PM ET
Team | Spread | Total | Moneyline |
---|---|---|---|
Chicago Sky | +9.5 (-110) | O 161 (-110) | +380 |
Dallas Wings | -9.5 (-110) | U 161 (-110) | -500 |
Josie's Take: The Sky and Wings tip off their season with some missing pieces on the bench. Dallas' third-overall draft pick-up, Kamilla Cardoso, is out for four to six weeks. At 6-foot-7, the Sky will need to wait to utilize her blocking and rebounding skills, where she averaged 9.7 per game in her final season with South Carolina.
BREAKING: Kamilla Cardoso is expected to be sidelined for the next 4-6 weeks due to the shoulder injury she sustained in the preseason game against the Minnesota Lynx, per Annie Costabile. pic.twitter.com/jyp7cUoOv0

Meanwhile, the Wings take a bigger hit with Satou Sabally, their second-highest point scorer with 18.6 PPG last year, on the sidelines until after the Olympic break.
According to our database, last season all three meetings hit the OVER between these two. But, without Sabally, I'm not convinced that will be the case tonight. However, despite being swept by Dallas in 2023, Chicago was 3-0 ATS. I'll take them to cover this generous underdog line.
Pick: Sky +9.5 (-110)
dream vs sparks preview & picks
The Game: Atlanta Dream vs Los Angeles Sparks, 10 PM ET
Team | Puckline | Total | Moneyline |
---|---|---|---|
Atlanta Dream | -5.0 (-115) | O 159.5 (-110) | -205 |
LA Sparks | +5.0 (-105) | U 159.5 (-110) | +170 |
Josie's Take: After missing the postseason for three-straight years, Los Angeles needs... Well, a spark to say the least. A lot happened in the offseason, like losing their top point scorers Nneka Ogwumike (19.1 PPG) and Jordin Canada (13.3 PPG). Picking up Cameron Brink as the second overall pick and snagging Rickea Jackson is beneficial, but is it enough?
My answer is no. At least not right away. This Sparks core is brand new and will need to find the keys to playing like a team. Meanwhile, on the other side of the court, Atlanta returns all three of its best.

Allisha Gray, off her career-best 17.1 PPG and 46.5 FG%, looks to build on her recent success. Rhyne Howard (17.5 PPG), a back-to-back All-Star, and Cheyenne Parker-Tyus (9.1 PPG) join her.
Look, there's a reason Los Angeles has the lowest win total this season (11.5) and are favored to go UNDER. I'm riding with Atlanta's cohesion.
Pick: Dream ML (-205)
