Cleveland Guardians vs New York Yankees

The Bronx Bombers have been quiet this postseason, rocking a 5-1 NRFI record. Now, Gerrit Cole takes the hill for Game 2 of the ALCS, fresh off seven innings of one-run ball. With Cole locking down the first, I just need a clean inning from Tanner Bibee, and this bet will cash.

This pitching matchup is built for an upset, so I'm betting on it. The Guardians have won Tanner Bibee's last four outings (including both in the ALDS) and the righty has lt up over two earned runs in just one of his last seven starts. Gerrit Cole, on the other hand, has a 4.4 FIP in his last six postseason outings. And, he's allowed an opposing OBP over .300 to current Guards hitters.

This bet may not be great value, but the line isn't steep enough, as JRam is just fourth on the hit odds board tonight (he should be No. 1). Ramirez has eight hits in his last 10 games and has a .391 career average against Gerrit Cole. Check out my complete Yankees vs Guards Game 2 picks here.

New York will send Gerrit Cole to the hill and he has been money against Cleveland throughout his career.

Cole has a 7-2 lifetime mark, and his only start against the Guardians this season was MAGIC. He allowed just one hit over seven innings, ALL BAGELS and posted 2 Ks. And he will be working on normal four days rest.

Tanner Bibee has not faced the Yankees yet this season, but did log a start in New York last year, throwing five innings, giving up four hits, two earned runs with five Ks.

So far in the playoffs, Cole has started twice, allowed 13 hits and given up four earned runs over 12 innings with eight Ks. Bibee has started twice, allowed eight hits and given up two earned runs over eight innings with nine Ks.

Very nervous about throwing any chips at the Yanks because I BLEED PINSTRIPES, but since they won first game, we'll slice the bet in half tonight, but still on Mr. Cole.
