Outside of the standard player props basketball bettors can wager on a game-to-game basis, there are also special props sportsbooks make available heading into a best-of-seven series, and that rings true for the upcoming 2024 NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks.
Focusing on the Western Conference champion Mavericks, here are three of those special props to consider which may ultimately provide the most value for this highly-anticipated matchup.

Luka Doncic To Score 30+ In Every Game Of Series (+800)
This is going to take some assistance from the Most Valuable Player finalist to nail here, because Luka Doncic has never gone an entire playoff series scoring at least 30 points in every single game for his career. However, he did come very close to making that happen just recently against the Minnesota Timberwolves, dropping 30 or more points in four of the five games, with the lone exception being Game 4 when he only shot 7-of-21 from the field but still managed to contribute a 28-point triple-double.
In the two meetings Doncic competed against the Celtics this season, he recorded a pair of triple-doubles, scored at least 33 points each time, and combined to take a total of 55 shots, 17 3-pointers, and 19 assists. Since entering the league in 2018, the now 25-year-old has played Boston 11 times and failed to hit the 30-point mark on just four occasions.
What Doncic accomplished against the Timberwolves in the Western Conference finals was mesmerizing, ripping through the best defense going today as if no player was impeding his path to the basket. Boston's defense rivals that of Minnesota's, and with this being his first crack at a title, regardless of what Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla attempts to throw his way, Doncic is going to score in bunches at his will. This prop may appear to be an insurmountable task to most, but certainly not for him.

Kyrie Irving UNDER 23.8 Points Per Game (-125)
The Finals could mirror much of what Dallas saw in the second round against the Oklahoma City Thunder when Kyrie Irving was rendered a ghost offensively by averaging just 15.7 points in the six games. They weren't awful numbers, but by his standard, scoring fewer than 10 points twice which he hadn't done once in the regular season, it was a noteworthy drop off in production.
Now Irving gets the only backcourt in the league to both make an All-Defensive Team in Derrick White and Jrue Holiday to contend with. In six career games against Boston with White on the roster, Irving hasn't scored more than 25 points while averaging just 20.5. He's also dropped fewer than 20 points three separate times.
Irving's teammate Doncic can exploit his size and strength against elite defenders no matter their stature, but Irving doesn't always have that luxury. His superstar ball-handling ability can get him out of jams, but the Celtics will switch when needed and throw a White or Holiday or Jaylen Brown on him to halt his progress. This prop isn't to suggest that Irving won't have his fair share of moments where he lights up Boston, but strictly talking averages, the UNDER is the safer play here.

P.J Washington 2.2 3-Pointers Made Per Game (-115)
The Mavericks ride Doncic and Irving heavily on offense, but there has to be a third option emerging to alleviate some of that responsibility, and that should be the only other player on the roster averaging double-digit scoring this postseason in P.J. Washington.
From series to series through the first three rounds, Washington went from 1.7 triples made per game against the Los Angeles Clippers to 3.8 versus the Thunder and then back down to 1.6 against Minnesota. His efficiency from behind the arc has dipped, mind you, yet Washington still manage to attempt an average of 6.4 3-pointers in each of the last two rounds, so he's going to continue chucking it up from the perimeter no matter what.
The Celtics are going to undoubtedly lure the Mavericks into having someone other than Doncic or Irving beat them, trusting in their defense to at least contain the dynamic duo enough to the point where someone else on Dallas has to step up out of necessity. Washington isn't shy from shooting the rock, and he was his most effective against Oklahoma City when the Thunder zeroed in on Irving. The looks will be there, so trust in Washington to make enough of them.
