Ohio State vs Oregon Picks – Week 7

There's arguments for both sides here. Undoubtedly, both have a prolific offensive attack with Ohio State posting 46 PPG (ranked second) and Oregon, just as lethal, averaging 37.8 PPG (ranked 17th). Both locker rooms have a duo of receivers that will need to be strenuously covered. Tez Johnson and Traeshon Holden, 669 yards and eight touchdowns combined, is nearly up to the same calibre as Jeremiah Smith and Emeka Egbuka's partnership that has collected 886 yards and 11 touchdowns. Yet, the Ducks (160.5 YPG) and the Buckeyes (129.8 YPG) aren't letting much fly through the air.

You could pivot to the trustworthy performances of Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson. At first glance, Oregon's 114.5 rushing defense average looks like a playground for Ohio State's ground attack. But, dig deeper and realize the Ducks solved the riddle for a rush defense, giving up 79 YPG in their last three outings and just 59 yards to Michigan State last week.

Heading into this crucial clash, both programs know it'll be the better defense that comes out on top.

Ohio State vs Oregon News

In a game like this, you want all your playmaking options to be readily available. Well, that may not be the case for Ohio Sate as WR Carnell Tate was absent in last week's tilt against Iowa. The sophomore's injury was unspecified and his status ahead of Week 7 hasn't been discussed.

The Chicago native sits behind Smith and Egbuka, averaging 15.6 yards per catch with 219 yards and a single touchdown.

Ohio State vs Oregon Prop Bet: will howard O 0.5 interceptions (-110)

Will Howard has hit the OVER on 0.5 interceptions in 4 of his last 5 games on the road, averaging 1.2 interceptions/game according to Outlier. The senior has also been picked off in three consecutive performances. I've already established that there will be plenty of pressure coming from both defenses and Howard will be feeling smothered in the pocket.
