The UFC’s biggest fight of all time is happening on October 6 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada between Conor “The Notorious” McGregor and Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov. The two engaged in their first press conference on September 20 with McGregor seemingly gaining the upper hand with his constant verbal onslaught that may have agitated the stoic Nurmagomedov. Yet, it is still Khabib as a -165 favorite over Conor, who is coming back at +135 straight-up odds to win this superfight.
The book is out on how these two warriors fight and how they like to engage their opponents, so betting the moneyline for who is going to win may not be of excitement to you. Don’t worry, though, Sportsbook has a list of prop bets that are providing better juice if you can nail exactly how this fight will play out.
Prop Bets that I really like
There are a few prop bets that I like from the list below that are providing good juice. The only way that I can see McGregor winning this fight is via knockout early, the longer the fight goes, the more the momentum swings toward Khabib. For this reason, McGregor to win in Round 1 at +400 is a good play.
The second prop bet that I think is worth a wager follows along the same train of thought as the first point and that is Khabib gets stronger as the fight goes on, but has failed to put guys away. Six of his 10 UFC career bouts have gone to decision and that is at +325 for this fight.
The odds continue to increase as the fight goes on and I think that Khabib may want to finish McGregor to make a statement but he will have to drag him into deep water to accomplish this. We saw Conor in serious trouble in the fifth round against Nate Diaz and if he looks the same way against Khabib the fight will be ended. So, at +1200 for Khabib to win in Round 5 also seems worth a wager.
Lastly, Sportsbook has released more prop bets that are different from the actual play out of the fight. The one prop that I really like is Bruce Buffer's tie for the main event and the bow tie has -400 odds which I think is a slam dunk bet. The standard tie is coming back at +250.
