UFC London: Edwards vs Brady Betting Handles & Trends

Leon Edwards throws down with Sean Bready in a welterweight main event on March 22 in London. With the event on Saturday, Odds Shark has linked with BetMGM for insight into the UFC London: Edwards vs Brad betting handles and trends.

This is a deeper Fight Night event, so I'm not surprised to see the co-main between Carlos Ulberg and Jan Blachowicz as the most bet-on fight at BetMGM. The odds have run wild in that fight, with Ulberg moving from a -200 favorite to a -300 favorite.

While each sportsbook will receive slightly different action, here are the most popular betting handles from UFC London: Edwards vs Brady.

UFC London: Edwards vs Brady Betting Handles

Fading Edwards is a popular move this weekend. 76% of the handle is on Brady to defeat the former champ, though 56% of the bets (presumably the more casual bettors) are on Leon. The odds have moved according to this trend, with Brady growing slightly from  -145 to -160.

  3. Shauna Bannon (IRL) by Submission +1500

  4. Kevin Holland (USA) by Submission +900

  5. Nathan Fletcher (ENG) by KO/TKO or DQ +1400

For some reason, BetMGM folks love Holland by submission. That was a popular bet in last bout vs Reiner De Ridder at UFC 311 (and see how that turned out). Holland will not submit Gunnar Nelson on Saturday, so move along.

Brady by submission is a very fair wager at +350. He's a strong grappler with quick transition, and, unlike Belal Muhammad, for example, Brady is a legit submission threat. He will incorporate punches into his wrestling transitions, but he is always hunting a submission. Edwards defends takedowns at just a 65% clip and showed little resistance to keep Muhammad off him at UFC 304. This weekend, I have Brady double chance by submission or decision, so I'll be backing the submission outcome in spirit.
