I'm honing in on two more MLB expert picks today!
I'm hitting 50% of my expert picks so far this week, but I want two winners in one day today. So I'm looking at the runs in the White Sox vs Yankees affair and taking a safe bet in the Dodgers over Brewers.
Here are my two MLB picks for August 14th:

MLB Expert Pick Today: Yankees vs White Sox OVER 9.5 (-112)
Yankees vs White Sox Odds -- Game Time 8:11 p.m. ET
The Yankees are playing some sloppy baseball lately, but that's great for us OVER bettors. New York has gone OVER 9.5 runs in five of their last seven games, averaging 11.1 total runs per game in the stretch.
When I saw this pitching matchup, I knew I would be betting OVER, too. Will Warren starts for the Yankees after giving up 12 runs in his first two outings of 2024 (in 9.2 innings). Both of Warren's outings have gone OVER 9.5 runs, too. Davis Martin starts for the White Sox after seeing one of his first two starts this season go over 9.5 runs.
But, I also like this OVER because of the bevy of hot bats involved. The Yankees have three of the top-15 hottest batters in baseball in the last week, with Juan Soto and Aaron Judge leading the way with OPS over 1.100. Even White Sox bats like Gavin Sheets and Andrew Benintendi have OPS over 1.000 lately.
We've got some bad pitching and good hitting tonight -- the perfect recipe for an OVER.

MLB Expert Pick Today: Dodgers (-120) Vs Brewers
Dodgers vs Brewers Odds - Game Time: 8:11 pm ET
The Dodgers are on a bit of a hot streak these days, winning their last five games (+3.5 units) by a combined 16 runs. I doubted them last night with Gavin Stone on the mound, and I was wrong to do so.
I won't make the same mistake tonight. Walker Beuhler on the mound for LA is a little scary, as he hasn't lasted longer than five innings in his last three starts and is coming back from injury. But, the Dodgers bullpen is perfectly positioned to carry the load here having only used one reliever last night.
The Brewers, on the other hand, are in big trouble with Frankie Montas on the mound. Montas has allowed at least three earned runs in each of his last five starts, rocking an ERA over 7.0 in that stretch. He's allowed 22 total runs in his last 25 innings. Montas also allows a .316 career average and 1.075 OPS to current Dodgers hitters.
