MLB Player Prop Picks Today: A Pair Of Perez Props

I've got two MLB player prop picks for today's slate!

I feel pretttttty good about these MLB player props, honing in on a strikeout alt-line for Martin Perez and banking on an RBI from Royals catcher Sal Perez.

Here are my two MLB player prop picks today with breakdowns:

MLB Prop Pick Today: Sal Perez OVER 0.5 RBI (EVEN)

Royals vs Angels Odds - Game Time: 8:11 pm ET

Perez has been a run-cashing machine for the Royals this year, banging home 85 RBI so far (the ninth-most in baseball). He's cashed at least one RBI in seven of his last nine games, with 10 total RBI in that stretch.

He's also got a clear edge over Tyler Anderson, with a .980 OPS against the Angels lefty in 17 career at-bats. He's notched four RBI in those ABs, too.

The Angels bullpen is also prone to some runs against, too, allowing the 10th-most runs of any reliever group. So, there should be opportunity all game for Perez to snatch his RBI.

MLB Prop Pick Today: Martin Perez OVER 4.5 Ks (+140)

Padres vs Twins Odds - Game Time: 9:41 pm ET

Perez's original strikeout line for this game is O/U 3.5, but I'm juicing this one up to the alt-line for some extra value. Everything about this matchup screams strikeouts for Martin.

The lefty has been elite since joining the Padres, striking out OVER 5.5 batters in his first three outings with San Diego (21 total Ks in the three outings). He's also had historical success against this Twins lineup, holding current Minnesota hitters to a .216 average and .637 OPS in 88 career at-bats. The last two times he started against the Twins, he had five and seven strikeouts, respectively.

Minnesota, as a team, rocks about a league-average strikeout rate of 21.2%, but opposing starters have gone OVER this 4.5 K line in three of the last four Minnesota games.
