Celtics Blow Out Suns On The Road

The Celtics earned their third straight win on Wednesday with a 125-98 blowout of the Phoenix Suns. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown scored 25 points apiece to lead Boston, while Josh Okogie had 28 to top Phoenix in a losing effort.

Boston has been on an absolute heater over the last month, winning 17 of its last 19 contests dating to November 4. The Celtics’ win over the Suns was perhaps one of their most impressive performances of the season as they not only dominated one of the top teams in the NBA, but also held the league’s seventh-best offense to under 100 points for just the third time this year.

Warriors Lose To Jazz Without Curry

The Warriors suffered their second consecutive loss on Wednesday as they fell 124-123 to the Utah Jazz. Jordan Clarkson (22 points) was one of seven Jazz players to finish the game in double digits, while Jordan Poole (36 points) was the standout performer for the Warriors as Steph Curry sat out with ankle soreness.

Golden State has had an interesting stretch of games over the last week or so – the Warriors are 2-3 in their last five games while Curry led the team in scoring in just one of those contests. It’s been Poole, Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson taking the lead for Golden State, yet the improved depth still hasn’t translated into consistent wins.

Celtics Player Prop: Tatum OVER 32 Points (+108)

After a scorching hot start to the season where he averaged over 30 points per game through October and November, Tatum has slowed down to the tune of 24.8 points per game in December, though that number is skewed by a 14-point performance on December 2. Tatum hasn’t scored more than 31 points since November 30 – can he do it against Golden State?

Warriors Player Prop: Curry OVER 32 Points (+118)

Curry is expected to return to the Warriors lineup on Saturday after sitting out the last contest. The Dubs star has also had a slow start to December, averaging 20.3 points through three games. However, Curry scored 32-plus in seven of 13 games in November, so there’s a fair chance he hits the OVER in this one.

Celtics vs Warriors Picks & Insights

Celtics: Keys To Victory

The Celtics have improved tremendously on the offensive side, moving from 15th last year to first place at the one-third mark of this season. A good chunk of that improvement is down to Tatum and Brown taking another step forward, but also the addition of Malcolm Brogdon off the bench. If that trio can keep up their high-scoring ways, they should cruise to another win.

Warriors: Keys To Victory

After ranking fourth in points against per game last season, the Warriors have fallen all the way to 26th this year – clearly not a recipe for success. They’ll have their hands full with a confident, high-scoring Celtics team. If the Dubs can’t find a way to contain Boston’s top trio, they won’t stand a chance.
