Knicks in Miserable Slump SU and ATS
The New York Knicks went into the All-Star break on horrible losing streak and that did not change as the team’s worst spell of the season continued with a loss at the Brooklyn Nets in their first game back Friday night.
The Knicks will try to snap a seven-game SU and ATS losing skid when they visit the Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday night. Online shop Sportsbook currently has the Timberwolves tabbed as 2-point home favorites for the contest.
The Knicks did defeat the Wolves 107-102 at MSG on December 16 but the team will have to overcome a sloppy, 16-turnover performance in Friday's loss to the lowly Nets.
The Timberwolves entered the break on a bit of a hot streak as they won three of their final four games, including a 117-112 victory against the Toronto Raptors. The young Wolves weren’t as lucky in their first game back from the break as they found themselves on the wrong end of a 109-104 scoreline at the Memphis Grizzlies Friday night.
Bettors have enjoyed the Wolves on their home floor recently, however, as the club has gone 6-1 ATS (4-3 SU) in their previous seven home games.
The postseason is basically a pipe dream at this stage for the Knicks, but there is a small chance for playoff basketball in Madison Square Garden if the team turns things around ASAP.
