The remaining two games of the 2024 NBA Cup quarterfinals take place on Wednesday night with the Atlanta Hawks battling the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, while the Golden State Warriors head to Houston to take on the Rockets. It's a small slate once again, but player props of value can still be dug up for these high-pressure matchups.
Here's a look at three player props wagers deserving of your consideration, including a rebounds and assists combination prop for Karl-Anthony Towns at plus money (+104).
Karl-Anthony Towns OVER 16.5 Rebounds + Assists vs. Hawks (+104)
Preview: Atlanta Hawks vs. New York Knicks, 7 p.m. ET
It's actually surprising to see oddsmakers lean towards Towns not hitting this rebounds and assists prop against a Hawks team he's already hit the OVER against once this season. The four-time All-Star registered 16 boards and a single dime across 38 minutes of action in New York's five-point loss on the road back on Nov. 6.
It's clear Towns can nail an OVER on rebounds alone, but the assists offer a little bit of wiggle room for this prop to connect, especially with Atlanta ranking fourth across the Association in rebounds per game on the road (47).
Towns has also gone OVER in his last two outings and seven of his last eight appearances, as well. There's a lot to like here at plus-money value, so take advantage before sportsbooks catch on.
Mikal Bridges OVER 20.5 Points + Assists vs. Hawks (-104)
Preview: Atlanta Hawks vs. New York Knicks, 7 p.m. ET
FanDuel Sportsbook has Mikal Bridge's straight scoring prop at -125 odds for an OVER on 16.5 points, which isn't overly appealing. Factoring in assists here creates an opportunity for larger profits, while still remaining in the realm of possibility for the prop to connect.
Bridges has scored 19 or more points in four-straight home games, averaging 20.3 points at MSG on the season while shooting 53.2 percent from the field as opposed to 14.1 points on 42.7 percent shooting on the road. He's also gone OVER 20.5 combined points and assists in five-straight appearances, as well.
The Hawks rank 23rd overall in opponent's assists per game at 28.3, which helps both the aforementioned Towns prop as well as Bridges here.
Jonathan Kuminga OVER 16.5 Points vs. Rockets (-106)
Preview: Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets, 9:30 p.m. ET
Getting Jonathan Kuminga inserted into the startling lineup has felt like a successful audition for the Warriors as they're reportedly looking to acquire a superstar-level talent ahead of February's trade deadline, with Kuminga being arguably the team's greatest asset to shop.
In his last four games as a starter, the 22-year-old forward has contributed 21.3 points on 49.3 percent shooting in 31.3 minutes, which is rare for most Golden State players as head coach Steve Kerr runs massive rotations in which most of his guys don't see heavy playing time.
Kuminga has gone OVER 16.5 points in three of his last four appearances and four of his last six, and has totalled 56 total points across two games already this season against the Rockets.
