Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio Spurs

NBA Player Props Today: Bet Wembanyama OVER Rebounds vs Lakers

A consistent trend amongst these player prop picks has been seeking profits at plus money, but the NBA isn't cooperating on that front as of late with several losses which have taken a bite out of our total units. In an effort to get that number back up, these projections will be a tad more realistic in the eyes of oddsmakers with stronger probabilities at decent value.

Here are three player prop expert picks for the six-game slate on Monday, January 13, 2025, including a rebounding prop for Victor Wembanyama against the Los Angeles Lakers at -113.

Victor Wembanyama OVER 10.5 Rebounds vs. Lakers (-113)

Preview: San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Lakers, 10:30 p.m. ET

Over his young career, Wembanyama has taken the floor against the Lakers on five different occasions and secured double-digit rebounds each time. However, he'll need at least 11 at Crypto.com Arena on Monday to secure an OVER, and in two of those aforementioned matchups, the 7-foot-4 Frenchman finished with exactly 10.

The Lakers do give up the second-most rebounds to opposing centers across the Association, and the team has been off since Tuesday after having a pair of games postponed due to the tragic and deadly wildfires in Los Angeles. Wembanyama is in the midst of a four-game streak with 10 or more rebounds, matching his season high, and as history would suggest, he's likely to extend that to five games versus a relatively undersized Lakers frontcourt.

To be fair, though, pretty much all opposing frontcourts can't hold a candle to Wembanyama in the size and length department. Then again, most human beings can't on either front. An UNDER holds identical odds at -113 here, but the OVER holds more merit considering his recent contributions.

Jaime Jaquez Jr. OVER 16.5 Points + Assists vs. Clippers (-108)

Preview: Miami Heat vs. Los Angeles Clippers, 10:30 p.m. ET

Jaime Jaquez Jr. has a points prop of 12.5 at -128 versus the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday, and his assists prop being at 3.5 at +110 odds means it's unlikely to connect. A combination of the two presenting at -108 for 16.5, though, creates a little bit of leeway for bettors to make a buck on a player who's thrived since entering the Miami Heat's starting lineup.

The 23-year-old sophomore is averaging 15.6 points and 4.8 assists over his last four games as a starter, and has reached an OVER in four of his last five appearances. Jaquez Jr. failed to do so in Miami's recent win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday, but his minutes were cut in what amounted to a 21-point blowout on the road.

It remains to be seen if Jaquez Jr. can continue this degree of output once Jimmy Butler returns from his suspension for conduct detrimental to the Heat, but for the time being, he should be able to deliver the goods in the props market.

Dennis Schroder UNDER 20.5 Points + Assists vs. Raptors (-120)

Preview: Golden State Warriors vs. Toronto Raptors, 7:30 p.m. ET

A combination points and assists prop at 20.5 is rather high for a player in Dennis Schroder who has only connected on an OVER twice since Dec. 19, even against a team in the Toronto Raptors who enter Monday's matchup with the Golden State Warriors having dropped all but one game since Dec. 4.

The veteran point guard is only averaging 8.3 points and 4.8 assists while shooting 31.7 percent from the field over his last four starts, and both Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are expected to be in uniform north of the border after sitting during a 12-point loss to the Indiana Pacers on Friday.

Facing a team he once suited up for, even for only 51 games, Schroder's numbers will likely be held in check until his percentages see an uptick.
