Warriors vs Cavaliers Picks & Odds Tonight: Cleveland's Undefeated Streak At Risk

Despite being in danger of having their perfect start come to an end, oddsmakers at FanDuel Sportsbook are still projecting the Cleveland Cavaliers to prevail on Friday night as the 4.5-point favorites at home against the red-hot Golden State Warriors.

Here's a spread, moneyline, total, and player prop expert pick for tonight's epic showdown at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

Golden State Warriors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Expert Picks

Golden State Warriors ATS +4.5 (-110)

The Cavaliers' flawless 9-0 start is their best in franchise history, but one that's in serious jeopardy of falling at the hands of a Warriors squad that's also near the top of the standings at 7-1 SU and coming off a road victory against the reigning champion Boston Celtics at TD Garden on Wednesday.

Really the only blemish on Cleveland's nine-game run is a failed cover against a Giannis Antetokounmpo-less Milwaukee Bucks in what was still a 116-114 SU. Beyond that, its 8-1 record ATS still tops the Association, but Golden State is right behind at 7-1.

That's what makes wagering on this matchup on the moneyline so dicey, because it really does feel like a coin flip. The spread is the way to go here, and the Warriors have an advantage being so reliant on the 3-point shot (second in 3-pointers made, fourth in attempts and efficiency), therefore keeping them away from the defensive one-two punch of Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen around the basket.

Yes, the Cavaliers only allow opponents to attempt 32.9 3-point shots per game, ranking fifth overall, but in terms of opponents efficiency from behind the arc, they actually sit fourth from the bottom at 38.5 percent. Even with Brandin Podziemski still questionable due to illness, the Warriors clearly have enough still left in the tank (evident by the victory over Boston) to give Cleveland a scare in their backyard and potentially pull off the noteworthy upset.

OVER 231.5 Points (-110)

I'm admittedly not entirely confident in this bet, but Cleveland and Golden State are a combined 11-6 hitting the OVER this season, with the Cavaliers having done so in four of their last five games and the Warriors in three straight to warrant even sprinkling a bit here on a total prop.

Golden State Warriors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Player Prop

Jarrett Allen OVER 25.5 Points + Rebounds (-120)

Golden State sits first overall in rebounds per game at 49.5, but due to its style of play and fast pace with plenty of shots, it only ranks 24th in opponent's rebounding giving up 46.4 on the glass, as well.

Jarrett Allen should be the beneficiary with yet another OVER on 25.5 points and rebounds, which he's connected on in seven of Cleveland's nine outings. He ranks sixth in the league in rebounds per game at 11.9 and has registered six double-doubles.

Golden State Warriors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Trends

  • Evan Mobley has exceeded 23.5 points + rebounds in 12 of his last 15 games (27.4 points + rebounds/game average).
  • The OVER has hit in four of the Warriors' last five games on the road.
  • Donovan Mitchell has exceeded 7.5 rebounds + assists in 13 of his last 14 games vs. bottom-10 defenses for rebounds allowed (10.9 rebounds + assists/game average).
