The sportsbooks continue to update their NFL season win totals with the preseason schedule set to get underway, and the Chicago Bears are one of the teams attracting the interest of football bettors right now.
According to Kevin Bradley, the Sportsbook Manager at Sportsbook.lv, "NFL win totals continues to take more money than any other future market we have up right now for the NFL and a few teams are really standing out as popular bets. The Chicago Bears over 8.5 has taken over 95% of the money but we are comfortable holding the number at 8.5, especially in a pretty competitive division."
Last season the Bears went 8-8, putting them behind the 8-7-1 Green Bay Packers in the NFC North and one game ahead of the 7-9 Detroit Lions. Green Bay has a wins OVER/UNDER of 10.5 for the 2014 season at Sportsbook right now, with Detroit at 8.5 on that props list.
The Dallas Cowboys, meanwhile, are slipping on the wins OVER/UNDER at Sportsbook. According to Bradley "the two teams who have caught my eye taking quite a bit of under money is the Dallas Cowboys dropping from 8 to 7.5 wins and the Carolina Panthers with 80% of the public expecting them to regress from their surprising year in 2013."
Dallas went 8-8 last season, which put them two games behind the 10-6 Philadelphia Eagles and one game ahead of the 7-9 New York Giants in the NFC East. The Eagles have a wins OVER/UNDER of 9 at Sportsbook right now, with the Giants at 8 on those NFL betting lines at the sportsbook.

Oakland and Jacksonville get the least love from sportsbooks heading into the 2014 NFL season. Denver gets the most love.
Online shop Sportsbook went to market Wednesday with NFL season win total props and Denver, at 11.5 wins, had the highest total of any team. Right behind them are Seattle, with a win total prop set at 11.
And tied for third betting choice, with 10.5 wins, sit the New England Patriots and their perennially weak division. Green Bay and San Francisco are at 10.5 as well.
The aforementioned Jaguars and Raiders sit at 4.5 wins.
Interestingly, last-place Houston was priced at 7.5 wins, an acknowledgement from Sportsbook that injuries and bad luck slowed the Texans in 2013. However, with Jadeveon Clowney paired with J.J. Watt, oddsmakers believe the Texans can bounce back.
