Bears vs Patriots Sportsbook Odds

New England is coming off a huge 38-15 win over the Cleveland Browns as 2.5-point road underdogs last week, putting Belichick in a prime position to pass Halas on Monday Night Football.

While the Bears will have extra rest following a 12-7 loss to the Washington Commanders as 1-point home underdogs in the Week 6 Thursday Night Football game, the Patriots looked great against the Browns and impressed bettors enough to push them as high as -9 at some books. The total is also up slightly to 40 in early action.

Chicago Still Searching for Offense Heading into Week 7 Road Matchup

The Bears again showed some glimpses of what they can do offensively with second-year quarterback Justin Fields. However, they fell short vs the Commanders despite playing a team that saw its starting quarterback, Carson Wentz, suffer a fractured finger that limited him to only 99 passing yards.

Chicago has scored 12 points or less in three of its last four losses and could be in for another rough outing here. The Patriots blanked the Detroit Lions 29-0 in their last home game as 3-point favorites in Week 5.

New England Not Missing Jones During Two-Game Winning Streak

The Patriots have played without starting quarterback Mac Jones in their last three games, but promising rookie Bailey Zappe has stepped in nicely, leading them to a pair of wins after relieving veteran backup Brian Hoyer in Week 4.

Zappe is the NCAA’s all-time leading passer and looked great in his first road start at Cleveland, throwing for 309 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.

The fourth-round draft pick out of Western Kentucky showed poise in the pocket and could be in line for another start in this spot, giving Jones even more time to recover from a high-ankle sprain if needed.

Bears: Keys To Victory

Chicago has found success running the ball and needs to continue doing that in an effort to take pressure off Fields. Between running backs David Montgomery and Khalil Herbert, the Bears have a solid one-two punch that could keep them in this game and help cover the spread.

The key for Chicago is staying committed to the run, which means the defense must step up as well and make sure New England does not get too far ahead early on.

Patriots: Keys To Victory

New England can take control of this game by passing with whomever is under center, whether it be Zappe or Jones. The Patriots need to build a quick lead in order to beat the number, as they can then ride running back Rhamondre Stevenson after they get ahead and rely on their defense to keep Fields in check. That is the key to covering this one.
