The San Francisco 49ers, mired in a Super Bowl hangover, host the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8 as four point favorites in an important game for both teams.
San Francisco is now 3-4 and in third place in the NFC West, while Dallas is 3-3 and looking up to the Eagles and Commanders in the NFC East. Dallas has a rest advantage after a bye and they needed it with several players nursing injuries.

This game opened with the 49ers as -5.5 favorites and and money quickly came in on Dallas. After the 49ers awful performance vs. the Chiefs and potential for more bad injury news this week, it's logical to take the points with Dallas. However, I think this actually is creating a nice "buy low" spot for the 49ers moneyline at home in a must-win game.
When we last saw Dallas, they were allowing 47 points to the Lions who have a similarly explosive offense to the 49ers. Keep in mind that the Saints scored 44 points vs. Dallas in Week 2 and Klint Kubiak modelled that offense after Kyle Shanahan's. An injured 49ers offense is still better than a full strength Saints squad and I expect Shanahan to put up points in this one.
The Dallas defense ranks 30th in the NFL vs. the WR2 position, and while injuries prevent us from knowing who the 49ers No. 2 WR will be Sunday night, San Francisco has a deep receiver room and should be able to exploit that weakness.
Shanahan has a history of losing games he shouldn't and then winning when his back is against the wall and I think he'll have his team ready.

When Brandon Aiyuk injured his knee Sunday, everyone pretty much knew he'd be out for the season and that news was officially confirmed Monday.
Without Aiyuk, the health of fellow wide receivers Deebo Samuel and Jauan Jennings comes into focus. Both guys missed last weeks game. Samuel was out (and hospitalized) with pneumonia while Jennings was nursing a hip injury. Samuel, Jennings, and TE George Kittle all didn't practice Wednesday for the 49ers.
