Packers vs Lions Week 14 Picks
Under 51.5 (-110)
I get it, both Jordan Love and Jared Goff are dealing. Each of these offenses is in the top-five in EPA over the past five weeks.
However, the Lions lead the NFL in defensive EPA per play allowed in that same time frame, with the Packers a respectable 15th. They also excel at getting off the field. Detroit allows opponents to converst just 31.7% of third-downs with the Packers coming in at 34.97%.
Expect to see a ton of the running game on both sides, with Josh Jacobs and the two-headed monster of David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs churning out yards on the ground. That will cause the clock to tick, and lead to an under.
The Packers have hit the OVER in nine of their last 12 road games. So, the public will be all over that play, with two top-tier offenses going head to head. We're making the contrarian bet here, and sticking with the primetime unders trend.
Packers vs Lions Week 14 Props
Jared Goff Under 243.5 Passing Yards -114
Don't look now, but Goff has surpassed this line in just two of his past six games. The Lions offense continues to rely on the rushing chops of David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs.
I like that to continue against a strong Packers secondary allowing just 217 passing yards per game.
