Vikings vs Packers Picks Week 4
Packers -2.5
Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold has played better football than even his own grandmother would have predicted this season. The former Jets first-round draft pick has been reborn in Minnesota, tossing for 657 yards and 8 touchdowns with just two interceptions through three games. More than the basic counting stats, he's looked extremely comfortable operating Kevin O'Connell's offense.
However, in the Giants, Texans and 49ers, the Vikings have faced three of the worst rushing defenses in the NFL. As such, Minnesota sits fifth in rushing success rate at 47.9%. That being said, this week they'll face the menacing unit of Jeff Hafley on the hallowed ground of Lambeau Field. Hafley's Packers defense ranks fifth-best in rushing expected points added at -2.05. Green Bay has forced nine turnovers through three games, and allowed opponents to convert on just 28% of first downs.

Plus, Packers head coach Matt Lafleur has done a masterful job of tailoring his offense to backup quarterback Malik Willis' strengths. While Brian Flores loves to blitz and keep his team on the attack, I'm not sure how he manages to train his safety's and linebackers to maintain their gap discipline against a rushing attack as complex as Lafleur's. Blitzing inevitably opens up a defense to cutbacks and counter runs, two of Green Bay's offensive staples. Keep in mind Lafleur is also 22-8 SU against the NFC North during his coaching tenure. Expect Green Bay to hold serve at home on Sunday.
Vikings vs Packers Prop Pick
SGP - Josh Jacobs O58.5 Rushing Yards, Aaron Jones U59.5 Rushing Yards +199
There's a revenge game factor here as Aaron Jones returns to Lambeau Field. However, the Vikings offensive line has been terrible so far this year. With Hafley's aggressive defense bringing more back seven players close to the line of scrimmage, I think the Packers shut down the Viking rushing game.
Jacobs has been excellent while carrying the Packers offense as Jordan Love has missed time. With #10 back under center, he'll thrive on Sunday.

Vikings vs Packers News
Will Jordan Love suit up for Sunday's contest? That's the million-dollar question for this matchup.
Green Bay has kept opponents' guessing, stating that he may start in advance of each of their last two contests. However, with the success of Willis under center, the Packers would be foolish to throw Love back into action. Check back here for updates as the injury reports come out throughout the week.
