A little over a week ago, the sports public was bemoaning the possibility of a sweep in both the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup Final. The Dallas Mavericks won a game, but bowed out in five game to the Boston Celtics – the Edmonton Oilers have done no such similar thing.
After a laughable 8-1 win in Game 4, the Oilers held on for a 5-3 victory in Game 5 on Tuesday, before a dominant 5-1 win on Friday in Game 6. From down 3-0, the series is now tied 3-3 and the Oilers have a chance to do something that no team since the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs has done: Win the Stanley Cup after being down 3-0.
The only people potentially more excited than Edmonton players and fans to win on Monday night in Game 7 are Jeremy Malone and Judson Dymon, who stand to win $584,000 if the Oilers pull off the comeback.

The two Colorado bar owners placed a $1,000 three-leg futures parlay at BetMGM back in January that involved the Kansas City Chiefs winning the Super Bowl (+650) and Real Madrid winning the Champions League crown (+550), along with the Oilers to win the Stanley Cup at 11-1. The wager was a bonus bet.

One @BetMGM bettor put a $1,000 bonus bet back in January on a three-leg parlay:

With the first two legs complete, the final leg looked dead in the water with the Oilers down 3-0 last week. Miraculously, the bar owners now have a chance to cash their parlay on Monday night and receive the $584,000 pay day. They told the AP that they have hedged their bet to guarantee a profit, but didn’t reveal how large the hedge was.
The Panthers are very slight -115 favorites in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final on Monday.
