Bruins Have Been no Match for Carey Price and the Canadiens
Everything has been coming up Habs this year and it’s looking like that could continue as the Canadiens get set to host the Bruins at the Bell Centre this evening for their third meeting of the young season. The Bruins have been getting crushed in this matchup and will be seeking just their third win in their last 12 games against the Canadiens.
This one seems pretty cut and dry if Carey Price gets the call tonight. He hasn’t posted a loss against the Bruins since the 2012-13 season and is 13-1-1 with a .944 save percentage at the Bell Centre this year.
Popular opinion had it that the Canadiens wouldn’t be able to score without Alex Galchenyuk and David Desharnais in their lineup but they put that to rest with their 10-1 beatdown of the lowly Avalanche on Saturday. They’ve scored at least five goals in each of their last three games with Price in net and if they get even a couple tonight, they should be just fine.
Montreal should win this game but Tuukka Rask always has a chance to steal one.
