Game 4: panthers vs Bruins preview & pick
The Game: Florida Panthers vs Boston Bruins, 6:30 PM ET

Florida Panthers-1.5 (+180)O5.5 (+100)-155
Boston Bruins+1.5 (218)U5.5 (-120)+130

Michel Take: We've seen the UNDER hit three times in this series. So you might find it odd that I'm going in the opposite direction on this one. But look, when I was digging around on both of these teams I found this interesting trend.

We saw 148 penalty minutes dolled out in Game 3. A ridiculous number of PIMs. In the next game after taking no less than 30 penalty minutes since 2020, the Panthers are 10-9 (53%) against the UNDER while Boston is 6-1 (87%). I'm taking the UNDER.

You might also be interested to know that when Florida wins by more than three goals they're 5-0SU in the next game. And if this game sees a ton of PIMs, that should be a huge advantage for the Panthers who hold a 33% PP and 100% PK in this series. Not to mention that Boston's leading PP threat (Brad Marchand) is out for this game.

Betting the Panthers on the moneyline might not be a bad call at -155. But I'll officially chase the -120 line for UNDER 5.5 goals.

Pick: UNDER 5.5 (-120)

Game 3: Cancuks vs Oilers preview & picks
The Game: Vancouver Canucks vs Edmonton Oilers, 9:30 PM ET

TeamPucklineTotalMoneyline
Vancouver Canucks+1.5 (-142)O6.5 (-105)+170
Edmonton Oilers-1.5 (+120)U6.5 (-115)-205

Michel's Take: I'm riding the OVER in this series until it doesn't hit. In nine matchups since the 2022 season, the total has gone OVER six times (and pushed once). Why in the world wouldn't it hit again tonight?

Thatcher Demko isn't about to start tonight and even if he does, he's not going to be at 100%. Edmonton is scoring on a ridiculous 16.3% of their shots through this series. Demko would have to be at 100% to stop that kind of conversion rate.

I feel safe in riding the OVER in this one as the series heads to Edmonton where the Oilers can play the matchup game. Edmonton has the better team on paper, so now that they can get that favorable matchup and expose some of Vancouver's worst players I suspect they'll find a number of good opportunities to score and run the total up.

Pick: OVER 6.5 (-105)
