The Pittsburgh Penguins welcome the Montreal Canadiens to PPG Paints Arena after snapping a six-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the Ducks on Halloween.
Pittsburgh is a -180 favorite on the BET99 moneyline tonight that's pretty lofty odds considering they lost six of their last seven, but I won't doubt Pittsburgh as they sport a 4-0 record in their last four games against Montreal.
Our staff prepared a +525 three-leg same-game parlay featuring a Sidney Crosby anytime goal and Cole Caufield hitting the OVER on his shot prop. Find that same game parlay lower in this preview.

Canadiens vs Penguins Picks Tonight
Pittsburgh Penguins ML (-180)
Montreal is in a tough run against the Penguins with that aforementioned 4-0 record. These two met earlier this season with the Penguins sealing the 6-3 win on four unanswered goals to close out the game.
While the Penguins have lost six of their last seven games they've carried an xGF% at 5on5 above 50% three times during that streak. They've played well enough to get a few wins and now they'll face a Canadiens team that holds the second-worst 5on5 xGF% this year at 40.34% and the seventh-worst in 23-24, putting Pittsburgh in a perfect position for back-to-back wins.
The Pens' goalie play has picked up lately after Tristan Jarry was demoted to the AHL following a horrendous 5.47GAA and 0.836SV% start the year, Alex Nedeljkovic and Joel Blomqvist have stopped 103 of 112 shots in their last three starts for a 0.920SV%.
With the Pens finally getting serviceable goalie play, their recent form against Montreal, and with the Canadiens holding a dreadful 15-30SU road record since 23-24 this game goes to the Penguins.
Canadiens vs Penguins Same Game Parlay Tonight
Both of these teams bleed goals. The total has gone OVER 6.5 goals in Montreal's last six games and in each of their last six road games. The Habs also hold the third-highest OVER rate in the league at 73% this season. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh has seen OVER 6.5 goals four times in their last six (67%) and has the eighth-highest OVER rate at 64%. This is an easy first leg.
A good second leg is to take Crosby on an anytime goal, even at 37, Sid is the Penguins' main offensive weapon and he's flying right now with two goals and three helpers over his last two games! Sid also has a great 14.6% shooting percentage in 50 career games against the Habs.
No one shoots the puck more for Montreal than Cole Caufield and his 32 shots this year. The Penguins allow the second-most shots against per game at 34.4, something Cole feasted on when these two met earlier with four shots on net. Cole Caufield vs Pittsburgh is a match made in heaven for his shots prop.
Canadiens vs Penguins Player Prop
Mike Matheson O0.5 Points (-145)
Matheson is on fire this year with nine points through 11 games and scoring in five of his last six games. He's an ideal candidate to get a point tonight.
He logs a ton of minutes for Montreal averaging 24:10 in his last four games for the Habs and is throwing a ton of pucks toward the net with the fourth-highest iCF for Montreal in all situations at 41. Minutes and shots are the two keys to generating offense in the NHL. Matheson also knows just about everything there is to know about the Penguins having played there for two seasons between 20-21 and 21-22. Again, he's an ideal candidate to get a point.
