The New Jersey Devils are back after a four-day break to face the Carolina Hurricanes at the Prudential Center tonight. While I like that the Canes, who've won three straight are +125 road dogs on the BET99 moneyline, all my focus is on the UNDER at +100 from BET99.
The total has gone UNDER in four of the last five Canes-Devils meetings, and with Carolina unrested following last night's game in Philly, it'll want to slow this matchup down to a snail's pace and force the total to fall below seven goals.

Hurricanes vs Devils Picks
UNDER 6 Goals (+100) at BET99
It's a quick turnaround for the Canes who were in Philadelphia last night and won their third game in a row. That mini win-streak can be attributed to some excellent goaltending from Pyotr Kochetckov and Spencer Martin with the duo only allowing two goals in those three starts. Martin, who gets the crease tonight, will be brimming with confidence after picking up his first career shutout against the Ottawa Senators in his last start.
The Devils' offense has been shaky of late being shut out twice in their last four games and scoring an average of 2.5 goals, and with four days of rest since their last outing that shaky offense will be rusty too. Even the books seem to agree that the Devils' offense will be sluggish, BET99 has UNDER 1.5 points for Jack Hughes at -245 even though the Devils star is averaging 1.7 points in his last six games.
Remember, the UNDER has hit in four of the last five meetings (and also pushed once) between these two Metropolitan Division rivals, and with Carolina's strong goaltending combined with the Devils' shaky and rusty offense, the total goes UNDER tonight.
Hurricanes vs Devils Player Prop
Andrei Svechnikov UNDER 2.5 SOG (+125) at BET99
Svechnikov has less than three shots on the net in five of his last eight games (63%), and while the Hurricanes are known for throwing a bunch of pucks on the net, the Devils have done a good job of suppressing shots on home ice.
New Jersey has only allowed over 30 shots on home ice twice all year and hasn't done so in its last four games at the Prudential Center. And the Devils know how to keep Svech quiet limiting him to less than three shots in each of his last three outings against them. I like him to miss his shot prop tonight.
