Books are wrongfully giving the Nashville Predators a 46% implied chance of winning tonight against the Winnipeg Jets at the Canada Life Center, but I'm not buying it, I'm easily taking the Winnipeg Jets who hold a ridiculously good 13-3-1 home record at -140 on the BET99 moneyline tonight.

Predators vs Jets Picks
Jets ML (-140) at BET99
The Preds undid much of the good they had built up with a good 3-0-1 home stand before losing 7-4 to the St. Louis Blues on the road two nights ago. Playing poorly on the road has plagued them all year with a pathetic 3-11-4 road record, now they head North of the border to face the Winnipeg Jets who've gone 13-3-1 at home this year.
Not only does Winnipeg have that stellar home record but they've been downright dominant at home recently going 4-1SU and winning big in those four wins with an average win margin of four goals. I know I'm taking the moneyline at -140 odds, but betting on the Jets to cover the -1.5 puckline at +170 odds from BET99 wouldn't be a bad call.
The Jets also own a great home record against the Preds winning eight of their last 10 games against Nashville as home favorites. At -140, books are only giving the Jets a 58% chance of winning, but with their home form, the fact they've got Nashville's number, and that the Preds are awful away from home Winnipeg has a much larger chance of winning than the books are giving them so I'll take those -140 odds to the bank.
Predators vs Jets Player Priop Pick
Nikolaj Ehlers O0.5 Points (-155) at BET99
Per Outlier, Nikolaj Ehlers has a point in eight of his last 10 home games, and considering he's been cruising since returning from an injury on December 18th with five points in four games, I'll take him at -155 to score at least one point against the Nashville Predators.
For all of Nashville's improvements, they're still allowing several goals with an average of 3.5 goals against in their last six games, including three nights where they've allowed five or more goals. Coming off a three-point night against the Ottawa Senators, Ehlers should start receiving the 15+ minutes of ice time he was getting before his recent injury. With that boost in ice time against a poor Nashville side, I expect him to get at least one point tonight.
