Goals In Store for Jets-Flyers Game Tonight
I’ve been waiting for this game between the Jets and Flyers for a while. Winnipeg has been one of the most exciting teams to watch this year and Philadelphia has been a lamp-lighting factory – both for and against. I wrote a feature a couple of days ago about how this game would be one of my favorite OVER bets of the entire season and I’m sticking with that prediction now that it’s game day.
The Flyers have allowed the most goals in the league and they sit behind only the New York Rangers in goals scored. The upstart Jets are in the top five in the league in scoring and have been putting up some big spots over the last couple of weeks. Now, I could be wrong and this game could end up 1-0 for the Jets or Flyers, but what I’m telling you is that it’s highly unlikely based on the results these teams have produced this season and in this matchup in years gone by.
Philly’s OVER/UNDER record this season is 11-4-2 and although it’s started to level out the past few games, this matchup is just too good to pass up and I may even be looking for props of OVER 6.5 or even OVER 7.5.
The Jets were also underdogs on the moneyline at the time of writing and I think that’s a mistake. Philadelphia’s goaltending situation right now is sketchy at best and the Jets have been hot.
