How to bet Holland
UFC veteran Kevin Holland has won back-to-back fights since his first round loss to Reinier de Ridder in January.
Holland will look to use his height and reach advantage and pick his spots against the slower Rodriguez. His striking is far more crisp and accurate than his opponent, and he has the power necessary to finish this fight.
However, despite his 13 knockout career knockout victories, Holland hasn't won a fight by knockout since 2023. In fact, his last three finishes have all come via submission, including a slick anaconda choke of Vicente Luque just last month. He's now racked up six UFC wins by submission, and will be a threat if those bout makes it way to the mat.
How to Bet Rodriguez
At 38 years old, Daniel Rodriguez absorbs a lot of punishment. While he dishes out an outstanding 7.39 significant strikes per minute, he's opponents land 5.39 strikes back. Essentially, Rodriguez stands and bangs.
Trading blows with the power of Holland isn't an ideal scenario for Rodriguez, so he'll have his work cut out for him. As the UFC 318 odds show, sportsbooks aren't giving the 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu fighter much of a chance.
Rodriguez isn't much of a grappler, so the southpaw will have to put the pressure on Holland and get inside of his jab to do damage.

Holland vs Rodriguez Prediction
Holland will keep Rodriguez at bay with his 7" reach advantage in this one. Look for the Travis Lutter BJJ product to dictate the pace of the fight and pick his spots. I expect Holland to look for the finish early and often as he'll want to put on a show and continue his climb up the UFC welterweight rankings.
Pick: Kevin Holland to win, Holland by submission
