Giants vs Cardinals

2024 Sports Equinox: World Series, MNF & More

A hallowed day has arrived: the Sports Equinox, where all four major sports leagues are in action. This year, October 28 features an excellent World Series Game 3 between the Dodgers and Yankees, as well as Monday Night Football, and special NBA matchups, like the Bucks and Celtics.

The Sports Equinox is also a special day for bettors, too, with the opportunity to cook up parlay and Sports Equinox betting promos across all sports.

Sports Equinox: Games We're Excited For

As I stated earlier, the Yankees play their first home game of the World Series tonight. I have lots of action on that game, including a NRFI bet at some fair odds. You can click here to read my full picks & predictions on that contest.

Our Odds Shark NFL expert Mitch Bannon also details his MNF picks for a gritty matchup between the Steelers and Giants. You can also dive into some NHL picks tonight, with a fun game between the Leafs and Jets.

Sports Equinox Betting Promo At Caesars Sportsbook

Caesars, one of the best sportsbooks in the game, adds to the Equinox fun with a special parlay across all four sports. This is a hefty offering, too, as we're looking at upwards of 9/1 odds.

Caesars Sportsbook: Sports Equinox Parlay

  • Dodgers Win vs NYY
  • Steelers Win vs NYG
  • Spurs Win vs HOU
  • Knights win vs CGY
  • Total Odds: +952 ($20 bet wins $190.40)

I'm a big fan of this breakdown. The Steelers should have an easy time against the Giants, and the Dodgers are a sneaky underdog play to jack up the odds. The Spurs are underdogs, too, but that's why this parlay includes the Vegas Knights, who are -165 favorites vs Calgary.

I mean, you're going to be in front of your TV all evening anyways, so why not make things interesting?

What is The Sports Equinox?

The Sports Equinox is an exciting day for fans when all four major U.S. sports leagues — MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL — schedule games on the same day. This unique occurrence is rare because each league has different seasons, and only a narrow window in late October aligns them all.

The tradition dates back to October 17, 1971, when a World Series Game 7 took place along with multiple NFL, NBA, and NHL games. Since then, the Sports Equinox has grown more frequent, happening almost annually since 2015.
