In what could be a potential preview of the 2025 NBA Finals, oddsmakers at FanDuel Sportsbook have the Denver Nuggets as the four-point favorites at home on Monday night against the visiting New York Knicks, who are looking to avoid losing consecutive games SU for just the second time in 2024-25.

Here's a spread, moneyline, total, and player prop to consider for this East vs. West matchup at Ball Arena on November 25, 2024.

New York Knicks vs. Denver Nuggets Expert Picks

New York Knicks ATS +4 (-110), Denver Nuggets Moneyline (-180)

While the Nuggets' 70-39 second half against the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday in what amounted to a 25-point road win was impressive, Denver's recent string of success against that particular team is so one-sided that it simply felt like fate for the purple and gold to fall in the fashion it did. The Nuggets had gone 1-3 SU in the four games prior, although only one of those games had three-time Most Valuable Player Nikola Jokic in the lineup.

This game marks just the second time the Knicks enter as a betting underdog on the road, which was the case on opening night in a blowout loss to the Boston Celtics. New York is 4-5 both SU and ATS away from Madison Square Garden, with just two wins on both fronts in its last six tries.

It's incredibly difficult to win when dealing with the altitude in the Mile High City, as all opposing teams have experienced. The Knicks have just a single win in Denver in just under 20 years, making the Nuggets the more potent play on the moneyline to emerge with the victory here.

However, I'll also be wagering on New York to cover the narrow spread, as four of Denver's last five games in its backyard have been separated by three points or less, creating a window of optimism that the Knicks and their No. 2-ranked offense will keep this one close but ultimately fall in the end.

OVER 232.5 Points (-110)

The OVER/UNDER market continues to be a treacherous slope to climb, but with a gun to our head needing to pick one direction or the other, the safer play would be betting the OVER as the Nuggets have nailed that in six-straight home games.

To be fair, New York has hit an UNDER in four-straight road games, as well, but with a pair of top-eight offenses going head to head, the more appealing option is certainly an OVER.

New York Knicks vs. Denver Nuggets Player Prop

Nikola Jokic OVER 38.5 Points + Assists (-104)

The box score bazooka that is Jokic continues to be a security blanket for basketball bettors, as he can seemingly make the most insurmountable prop totals feel like a breeze at the end of 48 minutes.

Jokic has hit the OVER on 38.5 points and assists in 13 of his 15 total appearances this season, including each of his last six outings in which he's averaged 30.8 points and 12.7 dimes in 38.6 minutes. While New York's roster has undergone a facelift since last season, Jokic also registered a 30-14-11 line against the Knicks in 2023-24 at home.

New York Knicks vs. Denver Nuggets Betting Trends

  • Michael Porter Jr. has exceeded 20.5 points + assists in 10 of his last 11 games (23.8 points + assists/game average).
  • Josh Hart has exceeded 1.5 3-pointers in five-straight games (2.2 3-pointers/game average).
  • Mikal Bridges has failed to exceed 20.5 points + assists in six of his last seven games on the road (15 points + assists/game average).
