Indiana Pacers vs. Philadelphia 76ers Expert Picks

Philadelphia 76ers ATS -6.5 (-108), Philadelphia 76ers ML (-250)

The Pacers just recently ended an eight-game losing streak both SU and ATS on the road by prevailing and covering against the Chicago Bulls on Dec. 6. They fell earlier in the season back on Oct. 27 in overtime, 118-114, and Philadelphia didn't even have Joel Embiid or Paul George in uniform, with both superstars expected to be present in the lineup on Friday.

After going 2-12 SU to kick off the campaign, the Sixers have since rattled off a 5-3 SU record over their last eight outings and 4-1 SU over their last five to improve to 7-15 overall, which means they're only 1.5-games out of a play-in tournament berth in the woeful East. Embiid just returned in the victory over Chicago coming off a seven-game absence and contributed a double-double of 31 points and 12 rebounds, which was the team's first win with him active in 2024-25.

While Indiana does struggle to cover away from Gainbridge Fieldhouse at 4-10 ATS, Philadelphia really isn't that much better at home with a 4-7 record ATS, although it's successfully covered in four of its last six attempts.

The 6.5-point spread is the largest of the season for the Pacers as a road underdog, and they're 0-4 SU and 1-3 ATS under such criteria. The three failed covers all came in double-digit losses, which is what is projected here with Embiid and George healthy.

OVER 227 Total Points (-110)

The Pacers and Sixers have reached an OVER in seven-straight meetings against each other and 10 of their last 11.

Indiana is one of the better teams across the Association in this market with a 16-9 record, and while Philadelphia is fourth from the bottom at 10-12, that's still a decent 45.9-percent hit rate of recording an OVER.

Indiana Pacers vs. Philadelphia 76ers Player Prop

T.J. McConnell OVER 19.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-104)

The veteran point guard has reached an OVER on 19.5 PRA in four of his last five games, and just established a career-high of 30 points on Dec. 8 with 30 points on 19 shot attempts in just 25 minutes of action.

Despite being a backup, T.J. McConnell is actually leading the Pacers in scoring over the last five games at 18 points on just under 64 percent shooting, while also ranking second in assists at 4.2. The Sixers rank 24th and 19th in opponent's rebounds (45.4) and assists (26.1) when competing at home, so McConnell has a ton of upside to connect on this PRA prop.

Indiana Pacers vs. Philadelphia 76ers Betting Trends

  • Tyrese Maxey has failed to exceed 11 1H points in four of his last five games at home (7.6 1H points/game average).
  • Joel Embiid has failed to exceed 1.5 3-pointers in five-straight games (0.6 3-pointers/game average).
  • Obi Toppin has exceeded 3.5 rebounds in five-straight games on the road (6.6 rebounds/game average).
