It's a limited slate of just four NBA games on Monday, December 2, so while finding value plays in the player props market becomes a touch more difficult with less options, there remains enough bets worthy of a wager to make the tighter schedule more profitable.
Here are three player prop bets worthy of consideration, including a pair when the Chicago Bulls host the Brooklyn Nets at the United Center.
Dennis Schroder OVER 21.5 Points vs. Bulls (-120)
Preview: Brooklyn Nets vs. Chicago Bulls, 8 p.m. ET
Dennis Schroder has attempted at least 18 shots in each of his last three games, averaging a team-high 26.7 points while converting 39.1 percent of his 3-point attempts during that stretch. He only scored nine points back on Nov. 1 versus Chicago, but his role could get even larger offensively this time around with the injury bug seemingly hitting Brooklyn's roster.
Ben Simmons (left knee contusion), Cameron Johnson (left ankle), and Ziare Williams all exited Sunday's eight-point loss to the Orlando Magic, although their respective availability on Monday remains up in the air. Should any combination of those three sit, that would lead to even more scoring opportunities for Schroder as one of the few remaining options.
The Bulls own the second-worst defense in basketball by allowing 118.4 points per 100 possessions, so all of the signs are pointing at an OVER hitting for Schroder's scoring total.
Nikola Vucevic OVER 10.5 Rebounds vs. Nets (-120)
Preview: Brooklyn Nets vs. Chicago Bulls, 8 p.m. ET
It's rare that I bet on multiple player props from the same game, but the Miami Heat-Boston Celtics matchup is a desert of choices with Jayson Tatum serving as the only option as of early Monday morning. Either way, even after taking a chance on a Schroder scoring prop, there's still profit to be made in the form of a Nikola Vucevic rebounding prop.
The 7-footer has reached an OVER on 10.5 boards in three-straight games, and is currently one of 13 players in the Association averaging double digits in this department. Vucevic also recorded 11 boards in 33 minutes in Chicago's eight-point loss to the Nets earlier last month.
Brooklyn ranks dead last in rebounding on the road, averaging 38.5 away from the Barclays Center. With its lack of interior size to combat someone of Vucevic's build on the glass, this OVER bet feels like one of the safer plays.
Jalen Johnson OVER 1.5 Made 3-Pointers vs. Pelicans (-113)
Preview: New Orleans Pelicans vs. Atlanta Hawks, 7:30 p.m. ET
Oddsmakers continue to downplay Jalen Johnson's effectiveness from 3-point range, and their loss is our gain.
The Atlanta Hawks forward has made at least two 3-pointers in 12 of his last 15 appearances, including each of the last six games converting 15-of-30 during that run.
Johnson will now see a depleted New Orleans Pelicans team that's on the second night of a back-to-back slate that's allowing the third-most 3-pointers made to opponents (14.6) while ranking 26th in opponent's 3-point efficiency (37.8 percent).
