Klay Thompson, Dallas Mavericks

NBA Player Props Today: Thompson Could Light Up Warriors Yet Again

It's a basketball bettors dream for NBA regular season action on Wednesday night because literally every one of the Association's 30 teams will be taking the hardwood days ahead of All-Star Weekend, so the player props market should be booming.

So let's get crazy and bump up the expert player prop picks to five instead of the usual three, starting with a Klay Thompson 3-point shooting prop at plus money when he takes on his former team in the Golden State Warriors at the American Airlines Center on February 12, 2025.

Klay Thompson To Make 4+ 3-Pointers vs. Warriors (+160)

Preview: Golden State Warriors vs. Dallas Mavericks, 8:30 p.m. ET

There have been six instances this season in which Thompson has connected on six or more 3-pointers in a game, and two of them came against a Warriors franchise in which the five-time All-Star spent the first 11 years of his career competing for while helping capture four championships. The veteran shooting guard has converted 13 of his 23 attempts versus Golden State through two meetings at a 56.5-percent clip.

The injury bug has begun devouring the Dallas Mavericks' roster, and with all four of Anthony Davis (groin), Daniel Gafford (knee), Dereck Lively II (ankle), and Dwight Powell (hip) sidelined, the team's only real hope is to get into a shooting contest and hope for the best. Thompson leads the team with three 3-pointers per game at 39.2 percent, and just made five on 10 attempts in an overtime loss to the Sacramento Kings on Monday.

Jalen Duren To Grab 12+ Rebounds vs. Bulls (+100)

Preview: Detroit Pistons vs. Chicago Bulls, 8 p.m. ET

It can't possibly get any worse for the Chicago Bulls after getting thoroughly dominated by the Detroit Pistons on their home floor Tuesday, but how cruel must it be to have to potentially relive all of that horror less than 24 hours later in a rematch at the United Center. Chicago trailed 71-29 in the first half, establishing a new franchise record for the worst deficit through two quarters before ultimately losing 132-92.

Jalen Duren only played 23 minutes as the second unit received extra run as a result of the score being as one-sided as it was, yet the 6-foot-10 center still managed to secure 11 rebounds and three on the offensive glass. It was actually Duren's worst rebounding total against Chicago through three games in 2024-25, as he had previously finished with 22 and 13 in the prior two meetings, respectively.

Jarrett Allen To Record Double-Double vs. Raptors (-115)

Preview: Toronto Raptors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers, 7:30 p.m. ET

Jarrett Allen's 29 double-doubles rank 10th amongst all players, and two of those have come against a Toronto Raptors team that won't have much in terms of size on Wednesday with starting center Jakob Poeltl (hip) out of action. Toronto is also on the second night of a back to back after upsetting the still feeble Philadelphia 76ers on the road Tuesday, so all of those factors should result in another strong box score for Allen.

He's averaging 18.3 points and 11.7 boards in three games against Toronto, and he's also notched a double-double in three of his last four appearances. The Raptors also rank 23rd in rebounds allowed to opposing centers, and Joel Embiid just notched 27 points and 12 rebounds on them last night.

Christian Braun OVER 22.5 Points + Rebounds vs. Trail Blazers (-108)

Preview: Portland Trail Blazers vs. Denver Nuggets, 9 p.m. ET

A left hamstring strain to Russell Westbrook which has kept him out of the Denver Nuggets' rotation for the team's last six outings has resulted in greater output from guard Christian Braun, who's averaging 19.7 points and 7.8 rebounds as a starter while shooting 60 percent from the field during this run. Most importantly, though, in the case of this combination prop, Braun has gone OVER in five of those six games with more than 22.5 points and rebounds, while topping that number with his scoring alone with 23 or more points on three occasions.

Denver just dismantled the visiting Portland Trail Blazers on Monday in a 146-117 beatdown at Ball Arena, and now gets another crack at doing so again on Wednesday. Braun had 26 points and missed just two of his 14 shot attempts during that blowout, which bodes well for what he can produce this time around.

Tyus Jones OVER 17.5 Points + Assists vs. Rockets (-104)

Preview: Phoenix Suns vs. Houston Rockets, 8:30 p.m. ET

Tyus Jones is in the midst of a streak of OVERs in the combined points and assists market which needs to be capitalized on, with his playing time and subsequent role as the floor general of the Phoenix Suns steadily improving. He's gone OVER this number in three-straight games and has scored in the double digits four-straight times, which is his best stretch since mid-December.

The 28-year-old has also totalled 19 dimes across his last two appearances, as well, and with the likes of Dillon Brooks and Amen Thompson likely focused on defending the Suns' Big Three, along with the fact that Fred VanVleet remains out with an ankle injury, Jones could be a forgotten man in the Houston Rockets' game plan and quietly put up some quality numbers yet again.
