Going 9-1 with our NBA expert player prop picks from Thursday through Saturday of last week sets us up for success to kick things off on Monday with an intriguing eight-game slate full of golden opportunities.
Here are four player props to consider, including an UNDER on a combination prop for Orlando Magic forward Franz Wagner (-110) against the Los Angeles Lakers on March 24, 2025.
Franz Wagner UNDER 27.5 Points + Assists vs. Lakers (-110 at Sportsbook)
Preview: Los Angeles Lakers vs. Orlando Magic, 7 p.m. ET
A 146-115 blowout at the hands of the Chicago Bulls on Saturday wasn't indicative of the defense the Lakers can put forth considering how dominant they've been on that front since the start of the calendar year (fourth since Jan. 1 at 111.7 points allowed per 100 possessions). Chalk it up to rust after having the likes of LeBron James and Rui Hachimura return to the rotation from their respective injuries.
We should get a Los Angeles team we've grown more accustomed to seeing on the defensive end when they hit the road at the Kia Center to battle Orlando. If that holds true, then Wagner will have a difficult time trying to end his cold streak of UNDERs on 27.5 points and assists as he's gone OVER just once in his last eight appearances, averaging 19.6 points and 4.9 dimes during that stretch.
Those are fine numbers in their own right, but the Lakers do rank 11th and ninth, respectively, in opposing small forward's points and assists per game according to Odds Shark's metrics. They also still wouldn't be enough for an OVER, and even though Wagner had a dominant double-double of 37 points and 11 assists against Los Angeles earlier in the campaign on Nov. 21, a lot has obviously changed since then with the makeup of their roster.
Naji Marshall OVER 28.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists vs. Nets (-114 at Sportsbook)
Preview: Dallas Mavericks vs. Brooklyn Nets, 7:30 p.m. ET
Naji Marshall, who inked a three-year, $27-million contract with the Dallas Mavericks over the offseason, is vastly exceeding his worth over the last nine games at a time when chances to thrive are plentiful on a depleted depth chart. The 27-year-old wing is one of only four Mavericks to play all nine times, and is averaging 22.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 4.1 assists in a team-high 36.8 minutes.
That jack-of-all-trades level of production makes him a worthwhile bet in the PRA (points + rebounds + assists) market against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center. With his number set by oddsmakers at 28.5, Marshall has gone OVER in four-straight games and eight of those nine aforementioned appearances.
In 49 games prior to this run of success, Marshall only exceeded a 28.5 PRA on two other occasions. This is all a result of extended minutes with the likes of Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, Daniel Gafford, and Dereck Lively II all sidelined, and it's paying off for bettors who've taken notice.
Kyle Kuzma OVER 24.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists vs. Suns (-125 at Sportsbook)
Preview: Milwaukee Bucks vs. Phoenix Suns, 10 p.m. ET
The absence of Milwaukee Bucks point guard Damian Lillard over the last two games with an injured calf has resulted in a boost to Kyle Kuzma's output, which will hopefully be the case yet again on Monday versus the Phoenix Suns as Lillard has been ruled out.
Kuzma has contributed 17 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in just over 32 minutes, and what awaits him later tonight is the Association's 24th-ranked defense which is giving up 118.9 points per 100 possessions since the All-Star break.
Reaching an OVER of 24.5 on a PRA prop is very reasonable for Kuzma as he's done exactly that in his last three games, the first of which had Lillard in uniform. The 29-year-old forward has notched a PRA of exactly 30 in each of his last games, as well, ending with a line of 14 points, 14 rebounds, and two dimes in Milwaukee's recent 114-108 road win over the Sacramento Kings on March 22.
Justin Edwards OVER 16.5 Points vs. Pelicans (-106 at Sportsbook)
Preview: Philadelphia 76ers vs. New Orleans Pelicans, 8 p.m. ET
This wager is simply a vote of confidence in Justin Edwards' ability to put the ball through the hoop with the Philadelphia 76ers establishing him as the clear-cut No. 2 scoring option behind the red-hot Quentin Grimes.
Even on the second night of a back to back after playing the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday night, Edwards should still be in store for a healthy dose of looks against a post All-Star 29th-ranked New Orleans Pelicans defense which sits right above the dead-last Sixers.
Edwards hasn't played fewer than 30 minutes in his last four games and hasn't scored fewer than 18 points during that stretch either. He attempted 15.3 shots per contest and converted 50.8 percent from the field and 48.1 percent from behind the arc, as well, averaging 21 points while Grimes led the charge at a staggering 31.3.
