Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders host the New York Giants as -3.5 point favorites a week after their thrilling Hail Mary victory. Oddsmakers set the total at 43.5 as these teams square off in a rematch of Washington's 21-18 win when they booted seven field goals.
The Giants are on short rest after the Steelers beat them Monday night and they need this win desperately if they have any hopes of climbing out of the hole they've dug themselves into.

Commanders vs Giants Week 9 Picks
Under 43.5 (-110)
I bet the Commanders -3 (-110) earlier in the week and still like that bet, but with the number now at Commanders -3.5 (-105) I can no longer recommend it in good faith. Instead I'll recommend the under in a game where one team will definitely be without key offensive lineman (Giants) and the other team (Commanders) is likely to be in the same boat.
Divisional familiarity is an under bettors best friend and Dan Quinn knows these Giants well from his time as the defensive coordinator with the Cowboys. The number 43 is a key number for NFL totals so getting the hook here in this spot is important.
These two teams combined to score 39 points in their last outing (Week 2) and I'm seeing a similarly low scoring affair in this one. Both running backs had success in the first meeting and I think both teams will be encouraged to keep it on the ground.
When Andrew Thomas went down for the Giants, it changed their entire offense and we saw that unit struggle mightily vs. the Steelers. The Commanders are also thin at left tackle with recent injuries to Cornelius Lucas and Brandon Coleman.
The Giants defensive line is one of the most underrated units in the NFL and they could give the Commanders trouble in this one.
Commanders vs Giants Week 9 Props
It's a little too early in the week for a full compliment of player props from sportsbooks so check back here later in the week and I'll update this section with my favorite Commanders vs. Giants props.
Commanders vs Giants News
Giants rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. is in concussion protocol after hitting his head Monday night vs. the Steelers. Because it's a short week, it's looking unlikely that Tracy will be able to suit up for the Commanders game. It's a shame because Tracy burst onto the scene recently and he's averaging 5.2 YPC this season.
Speaking of concussions, Commanders rookie left tackle Brandon Coleman missed last week's game vs. Chicago because of a concussion. The Commanders may also be without swing tackle Cornelius Lucas who injured his ankle last week. Perhaps an indication that Lucas and Coleman may both be out again, the Commanders worked out veteran Yodny Cajuste early this week.
