Falcons Vs Saints Odds & Picks Week 10: Expect A Low Scoring Affair

The New Orleans Saints host the Atlanta Falcons as +3.5 point underdogs in and NFC South rivalry game in Week 10. Oddsmakers set the over/under at 46.5 in a rematch of their Week 4 game when the teams combined to score 50 points.

The Falcons are fresh off of an impressive win vs. the Cowboys, while the Saints enter after an embarrassing loss to the Panthers.

Keep reading to see how I'm approaching this game from a betting perspective.

Falcons vs Saints Picks Week 10

Under 47.5 (-130)

These two teams matched up in Week 4 and the Falcons won 26-24, but I don't think Round 2 will be another high scoring affair. Divisional familiarity often breeds lower scoring games and I think that will be the case here.

The Saints are expected to be without Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed and the Falcons are expected to be without Drake London. Those players combine for 22 catches in the prior matchup and neither team is particularly deep at wide receiver.

I'm expecting both teams to be one dimensional and lean heavily on their running games which, theoretically, should keep the clock moving and create a lower scoring game.

The Falcons are expected to get back linebacker Troy Andersen who was injured and hasn't played since these two teams last played. Andersen isn't a household name but he's one of the Falcons best defenders and his presence will go a long way toward suppressing the score Sunday.

Falcons vs Saints Prop Pick

It's a little too early in the week for the full complement of player props for this game. Check back here later in the week and I'll update you with my favorite player prop for this Falcons vs. Saints game.

Falcons vs Saints News

The Saints traded starting cornerback Marshon Lattimore and a draft picks to the Commanders this week for three draft picks. The move creates a major downgrade for the Saints secondary and also signals that the Saints are sellers and may be less competitive this season.

Earlier in the week, the Saints fired head coach Dennis Allen and promoted Assistant Head Coach / Special Teams Coordinator Darren Rizzi to interim head coach. The move was triggered by the Saints ugly loss to the Panthers in Week 9.
